A hot sauce that is actually hot
I purchase this locally, so am not going to cover price or shipping, which both vary and fluctuate. I am going to focus on the sauce itself, which is not only hot (and I eat and cook with Scotch bonnets, ghost peppers and the like.)Although this is hot it's also full of flavor, which is a critical aspect that is too often missing in true hot sauces. The Scotch bonnets do not dominate the flavor profile. You can actually taste the hint of sweetness that counterbalances the piquant aspects. In addition you can also taste the nuances of garlic, onions and thyme. There is a hint of sour and tang from the vinegar that actually flavors as well as preserves this sauce. So, not only is this an intriguing and delicious hot sauce, it's also one with a complete flavor profile. Nutritionally a teaspoon has a scant 45mg of sodium and despite the cane sugar the carbs do not even register. This is a thick, viscous sauce, so a little goes a long way. Back to the heat. It builds instead of grabbing you by the throat, and grows very intense. Still, this did not scorch or have a sharp bite. If Tabasco sauce is your limit this will probably be far too hot for you, but if you do like it hot you'll enjoy it.

Pops an ice cube in her mouth. It melts instantly into steam with a cartoonish sizzle.
According to label data, WALKERSWOOD Hot Jamaican Scotch Bonnet has only 45 mg. of sodium per tsp. What you're not told is a tsp. of this stuff will damn near kill you. Its intense heat lingers long afteryou've ingested it, whether in a soup or as the label recommends, on a "savory dish."This is the kind of fire that hot sauce fans (like me) crave. It gives a steamy punch without overly flavoring foods. There's no chili powder or other potent spices here... just a bonfire of intensity!Besides scotch bonnet this A bomb in a bottle contains vinegar, modified cornstarch (thickener?),salt, citric acid, scallions, onions, garlic powder, potassium sorbate (preservative) and thyme.I love the way just two drops makes a cup of soup hotter than you-know-where.Despite possible intestinal repercussions tomorrow, I cannot recommend WALKERSWOOD too highly today.

Order more than 1 bottle!
Best hot sauce ever! Plenty of heat w/out leaving you sweating & panting AND the scotch bonnet pepper offers a slightly sweet flavor! My family uses hot sauce like it’s ketchup & this is usually their ‘go to’!
