Very Weak. These fall over all the time. I wish I had gone for the more expensive, better quality option.I guess economy means cheap. I would not reccomend these for childrens books or any books. They suck. Unless you like book avalanches, you should buy these

This item works well on my bookshelf. it holds all my books in place without any problems.

Worked well for my cookbook collection. I didn't want to pay for fancy book ends and these work for how heavy my cookbook collection is. Good buy.

I converted some 9' (slippery) metal utility shelves to hold some of an extensive collection of paperbacked mysteries, dating back to the 1940s and '50s. The books are fragile and prone to falling down. These bookends hold them in place with no worries.

I have purchased about 4 pairs of these bookends. They are low-cost and they work OK. They hold thebooks up well.

These bookends are simple, but they do what their supposed to do, and the gripping on the bottom works well to keep it in place.

I initially bought these because the taller were no longer available. And i can see the difference. They definitely do the job they were made for but only for SMALL books. Nothing to tall or 2 heavy. That's the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars.
