Works wonderfully! Perfect for my 1 yr old's sing-along cds.
I've been using it for about a week or two and it has been great. The volume can be turned up loud so we only have it up half way (or less) which is plenty for our small living room. I bought it for my 1 year old to play her cds without having to worry about her breaking it. It's a wonderful purchase for the price. Some things that are hard for a child is that the volume control and radio tuner is a dial knob rather than a push button so its hard for a young toddler to set them just right - easy to crank up the volume too high or make it too quiet - I think I can tape the volume knob down with duck tape or something if it starts to become a problem for her. Also, the play button is the small round black button on the very right on the front of the player above the lcd screen. It's small so it could be hard for some people without dexterity to push. Overall very happy with the purchase.

A versatile unit with good quality sound
I ordered this item primarily for one reason, to play oldies on CD and MP3 through the speakers in this unit when powered by the cord going into the cigarette lighter and using an Enkey 150W car power inverter DC12V to 110V AC. This is for a collector car from the '60's, long before cars came with built in CD players and inputs for the MP3 player. One needs this arrangement if you hate modern AM and FM broadcast radio. Of course, this unit being reviewed will also work fine using batteries but they become expensive over time and add considerable weight to any boom box.It is a very good unit and I am happy with it. It does exactly what I wanted and it sounds very good, lots of volume and very clear. So far it has played every pre-recorded CD and my burned CD-R's without any problems, another thing I was looking for. It works well with earbuds too and has that jack on the front along with the aux input. Radio reception is very good on FM though I rarely use it. The detector works very well in locating and isolating broadcast signals. The built in carrying handle is solid and well-designed for this unit, and the cord is plenty long. Here is the only drawback I have encountered and I mention this in case it might be important to a prospective buyer. It is not a big deal for me. The very good instruction manual tells us how to program the unit to play tracks from a CD to hear only the ones we want to hear. This is easy to do and it works fine. It always seems to play the correct tracks that one has programmed. But the manual states on page 8 instruction #7 bullet 1, the following: "After the programmed tracks have been played the player stops but the program remains in the memory." In the case of the unit I purchased, this is not true. The unit does stop playing after the final programmed track, but that is the end of it. The small red Program light goes off and the memory is erased so one will have to re-program the machine from scratch and that does take time. If one hits the play button, the unit will simply start playing the entire CD from track one. So beware of this if you are one who likes only certain songs on a CD and tends to program your playback. I do not do this so it matters little to me. Besides, you are probably a person who does not buy or even own CD's any longer and uses only MP3 players or streams music exclusively. Nevertheless, I would like to see the manufacturer correct this statement in the manual.Overall, this is a good product for the price, is versatile, and suits my purposes well. I would recommend the unit.

Awesome Radio
I love this radio! I needed something for my barn to keep my horse company. This radio had great sound, it’s easy to operate, and a great color. I would absolutely buy this again.

NO! Don't plan on tuning between stations on the AM/FM radio.
JUNE 2021 UPDATE--sometimes I read reviews on Amazon and am amazed at how the reviewer can be so angry about a product. I think I'm beginning to figure it out. This product should not have been allowed to advertise that it has an AM/FM radio. I can only conclude that either the vendor did this intentionally or they incompetently never tested it. It is painfully difficult to tune it to a station. The a photo attached (please excuse the fact that it's upside down) show s the tuning scale when the radio has been tuned to the station at 1350 on the AM dial. Note that if I tuned to listen to the station at 940, the dial would still show as being above 1400. And then if the radio drifts a little bit, using the tuner to correct the drift is a 10 minute ordeal. Do not buy this device if you want a radio. If the price point is proper for you for a CD player, then go ahead and get it, I guess.ORIGINAL REVIEW--I acquired this device for two purposes: 1) to listen to my CD collection, and 2) to listen to various sports events and new shows on the radio. The CD player is perfectly fine. I enjoy playing all my CDs The sound is satisfactory. However usability in tuning the AM/FM radio is very disappointing. While I have nothing against a tuning knob necessarily, turning the knob to change the radio station on this device is very difficult. A one degree turn of the knob will take me completely by the station that I am trying to reach. I found this to be the case on both the AM and FM bands. Further, the frequency markings are not accurate to where are the stations are found. If you want this device In order to play compact discs, then by all means go ahead and get it. However it is not the device you want if you plan to be tuning between radio stations.

Nice little system!
This little system has bang for the buck. It has a manual radio tuner (if you live in an area with poor radio signals, you know why this is important). It also has a physical antenna, so you can position it to pick up the best signal. The CD player is nice. It even plays the CDs I burned of my digital music purchases with ease. The speakers are good. They are small, but the volume is decent. I wouldn’t use this in a noisy place, however. In a quiet home it does carry well.Mine did not come with a remote so I can’t review that. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I have used it daily since it arrived.
