The smell was not a problem. The health benefits of this are amazing if you were trying to go sugar-free the quality is perfect and it’s a great addition to my dietary changes. It was a little expensive for the money. But it was useful and helpful for my baking, and the sweetness was just like sugar. This is the third time that I’ve purchased and will purchase again

I stumbled upon Xylitol on my quest to find a decent tasting sugar substitute. I have tried nearly everything else on the market, and all of them either tasted awful or ended up not being good for me after all (agave nectar, anyone?). I was pleasantly surprised by Xyitol. Not only does it taste wonderful, without any nasty aftertaste, (think sugar, only a tiny bit "lighter"), it is actually GOOD for my teeth and has some antimicrobial qualities! Thus far, I have used it in smoothies, hot drinks, iced drinks, and for baking. It has been perfect every time, with an equal cup for cup ratio to sugar.I chose this particular brand of Xylitol above the plethora of others available because it is USA made (very important! We have different food manufacturing/processing standards than China!), and is made from birch, NOT GMO corn.Other posters have mentioned that it gives them gastrointestinal upset if used in excess... I have Crohn's disease, and have not had any trouble with this xylitol at all. Perhaps it is because it is not a corn product? I can only speculate. Everyone's body is different, so I would suggest that one proceed with caution until you find out exactly how it affects you.Overall, I would definitely reccomend this product to anyone looking to improve their health by cutting sugar, without totally sacrificing their sweet tooth!

I add a teaspoon of Emerald Forest Xylitol to my coffee every day. I've tried dozens of artificial sweeteners over the years, and this product (by far) tastes just like sugar without any chemical aftertaste. Combined with my weight loss regimen, it helped me lose over 50lbs.

I have a problem with artificial sweeteners. They taste bad and they reek havoc on my digestive tract. I really like the fact that this is natural and the taste is pretty good. It's not quite as sweet as sugar, but I like that it is a bit milder.

Tastes exactly like sugar, but without the evil consequences. In fact, the benefit to teeth is quite astounding.

This tastes delicious! Slightly minty, sweet, but no after-taste. And I had only minor gut issues, (if that.) BUT:my dog got into it TWICE and both times almost DIED! Xylitol can kill your dog in under 30 minutes--it makes dog's blood sugar drop to deadly levels in moments! Very toxic to them! It is very costly to have the vet save them ($5,000 each time!) as dog needed hospitalization for days! They may never fully recover completely. So I can't risk that--or afford that! ***Hint: IF your dog ever eats or licks Xylitol, immediately call Poison Control (yes, the vets say to call Poison Control, just as you would for a human! Really!!) Poison Control told me to quickly rub some corn-syrup under the dog's gums, (dog will absorb it,) to help bring dog's blood sugar back up towards normal, while you IMMEDIATELY take your dog to a vet, as they'll need IV of sugar solutions for a day or more. But call your vet and Poison Control and take their advice. Do NOT delay!

This product is extremely pricey, but it is a great quality. I ordered two bags because they are frequently out of stock. Upon arrival, one of the bags was ripped open and the sugar was all inside the shipping bag. I reached out to the seller and was told to "Contact Amazon and Good Luck With That!" Completely unacceptable. Buyers be aware!

Very expensive, but It tastes better then the brands I have tried. Also, it's not made from GMO corn.
