This cable was bought as a backup for a set of Sennheiser Momentum 2 over-ears, and it works well. The cable is constructed very well, solid connectors that are perfectly sized - the build quality and the sound quality are on point.However, there is one quibble, hence the 3 star review. The microphone quality is good, not quite as tuned as the OEM Sennheiser cable, but that is fine. The issue is with cable noise and how that carries to the mic. The woven nylon outer cover is nice in look and feel, but it transmits noise straight to the mic that becomes unbearable on conference calls for both the caller and the receiver. I had to go back to the OEM cable for working from home or anything that was more active, like walking/exercising.It’s disappointing because the cable is decent, but it limits the use to just audio for me.

I purchased this for my sennheiser M2 headphones and the first set that got shipped was defective, so I thought. The volume up and down button did not work. I replaced it thinking it was just a defective cable but the replacement had the same problem. I think it is a compatibility issue.
