Nice Unit.
Initial one got lost in the mail. Just received the "replacemnt" and installed, so no idea yet of the oveerall performance. Inittial impresson is positive as it tested correctly- very loud. Does not come with the 9volt battery so that needs to be ordered seperaely it you don't have one. I would recommend it.

Works Well
In testing it when I first got it, I can tell you the alert alarm is very loud so there's no worry that you won't hear it.

Sound
I’m not able to get down to my lower level. My friend found water on my utility room floor. I purchased these alarms. Now I feel secure that I will hear the alarm and be able to call plumber in a timely manner. I put one under my kitchen sink as well. I would purchase these again.

IT works!!
I had an intermittent leak in my bathroom over the past couple of years, with several folks 'fixing' it only to have it come back a few months later. I bought this package of water alarms and tested each one first (first on the hand, as suggested on the package - and then on the counter, dripping some water near the base). Testing came back that all worked. I put two under the plumbing in my bathroom (after a plumber had repaired it 3 months prior - no leaks to that point - but I wasn't convinced that it wouldn't be back, as before). The next morning I took a shower - dang if I didn't hear this squealing sound; I knew that the leak was back! I was very impressed with this alarm! I put the others near the water heater and clothes washer. Now, the sound is not super loud or anything - but it is distinctive enough that if you were in a quiet room you would probably hear it, even between floors - you would know it wasn't a normal sound; so it will catch your attention. As far as I can tell it will keep sounding until you remove it from the moisture and dry the contacts - or the battery runs out. Other reviewers mentioned that getting to the battery was difficult. I tried that with all of them, and had no problem (just hold the bottom twist the top) - and I'm a senior female. They are a unique battery so you may want to have some on hand. Testing on the hand only takes a second or two so I plan to test them monthly so I can figure out how long the batteries last with no activations. The amount of damage that could have happened from that one leak alone was well worth the very reasonable cost of these little things - especially since I was just getting ready to leave the house for a few days.

Loud and it works!
These are great and loud enough to heard throughout the house , so far very happy , had 3 leaks and thanks to these the water leak was dealt with right away

Well worth the money
This is little unit takes minutes to set up and has a very high pitched alarm that can be heard throughout my house. I have a finished basement with a water heater in close proximity to the finished area. This alarm with warn me of water leaks or a septic back-up. I very small cup of water with trigger this alarm. Very low investment to prevent a expensive mess.

Poor review options
No way to 'star' this properly...tech support...wifi signal...alexa integration - NONE of these are applicable. This is an 'alarm' device with 3 metal contacts that sit just above the floor level (plastic nubs elevate) - two of the pins are negative and one of the pins is positive. If water connects between the + and one of the negatives it'll sound...if water connects the two negatives nothing happens (of course) and this is my only critique so far...there is a chance that a small leak could be missed - even if it passed under here there should be more pins and they should be more combinations of +/- ... also I'm pretty sure there's no power consumption when it's just sitting there - assuming the water connecting the pins closes a circuit. The batteries are expensive and not common - 12v garage door opener style of battery. They're not rare or hard to find...just expensive for what they do. Assuming no rest power consumption it's safe to assume these batteries will last 5-10 years - of course when enunciating it'll consume power so best to swap out batts every 5 years...you wouldn't want them to be too dead to not make enough volume...or die before you heard/realized the noise. I could imagine forgetting you put these down and not recognizing the noise of the alarm 2-3 years later. I have a thermometer that beeps that usually takes me a few hours to realize what the heck is beeping in the garage (it's slow and quiet enough to be more of a 'what was that sound...was it a beep' - eventually I do figure it out). These, of course wouldn't 'beep' until the pins connect with water - no 'dead battery' chirp or even visible light blink. No real way to know their working without physically connecting the pins with fingers - which makes me worry that there is a current draw continually as fingers aren't usually good enough to make a circuit even at low voltage/amps. You're probably going to have to check periodically and replace batteries periodically. Anyway - I give them 3-4 stars...because new/fresh they may perform properly - while realizing that they're not magic - the water/leak MUST connect the pins...so where you place them could easily be in a stream or not...obviously any area that 'fills' would eventually see water at the device...but next to a washing machine the drip/leak could pass it right by and saturate bad locations. Amazon should fix this review process and make better categories for the star ratings for features. I'd suggest...perhaps battery life, alarm noise level, and maybe ease of use. Value would be good (here value would be 2 stars as one these alarms are diminutive but expensive and the batteries are not cheap...though mine DID come with batteries already installed - though I did buy spares. Anyway, leaks are bad...catching them before damage results is good - and these may help with that process.

Did the job perfectly
My washing machine was repaired for leaking and I didnt trust that the problem was fixed. I’ve put 1 device at its base and I was able to hear the siren all the way from the basement to the upper floor. There was barely any water, it saved some money. I love it.

An excellent early warning unit!
This works very well and has saved my laminate flooring when the washer started to leak - the alarm went off long before there was enough water to cause any major damage.

Loud alarm and flashing light
Just be careful when you unscrew the case to put in the battery. The wires connected to the buzzer can easily break off if not careful. The flashing light helps to identify the location of the alarm.

Works as desribed
Easy to set up and use.

Arrived in good order and seems solid.
The unit seems solid, it is loud when in alarm mode and the red lamp will be helpful in the dark. One concern I have in the design is to place the 9v battery inside the unit you unscrew the top from the base. The wires inside are a very light gauge and when you are screwing the top and bottom to get the unit apart the wires twist with the action of unscrewing. Hopefully the battery replacement will not be often enough that these wires will break or twist themselves free. Again, this may not bother some people but do be careful when unscrewing!
