Great piece of exercise equipment for the cost
The box was a little beat up when it arrived, but all the components inside were undamaged and OK. Assembly was very easy and completed in about 15 minutes. The only oddity was that it seemed like it included an extra component that wasn't mentioned in the manual and didn't seem to go anywhere on the machine. I ignored it and the machine is working fine without it.The machine feels reasonably sturdy. There is a little bit of a wobble, but it's not too bad and feels decent enough for the cost. Using the machine is a real workout! If you're not already in great cardiovascular shape, just a few minutes on the Vertical Climber will get your heart pumping really fast. This is a really convenient piece of exercise equipment to own at home.

Good but not level
I bought this machine because I saw it was similar to the maxi climber. It was very easy to assemble, I didn’t like how the adjustments to the top bars have to be screwed in as opposed to the little buttons nobs that fit it the holes because it’s hard to get them exactly the same. It doesn’t glide the smoothest during workouts but that is actually fine with me because it gives the work out a little resistance which is personally fine with me. Over all I enjoy the machine very much except for the fact that it isn’t level on the ground. I have tried it on multiple floor surfaces where the ground is even & it is assembled properly but it gives a little wobble because all 4 legs don’t touch the floor at the same time, one of the legs has maybe up to an inch off the floor on the current floor. I have tile to maybe it needs carpet but it’s not level. It doesn’t fall over because of the way it’s spaced out so that’s good, but it’s concerning because I have to adjust my workout for the wobble which is an inconvenience.

Great concept but poorly made with cheap materials
I have been using this climber about 15 mins daily for 1.5 months. Liked it for the cardio workout. However, on the 3rd week of use, it developed loud clicking sounds. The plastic sleeve on the cable has frayed and fell off from the steel core. The braided steel cable is now destroying the pulley, so I cannot use it anymore. The plastic bearings are also wearing out quickly, shedding flakes all over the place on the floor. The return window closed a couple of weeks ago. What a bummer...

Effective after just 20 seconds!!
Sturdy, as advertised, and incredibly easy to put together (and you're given a real mini wrench to use for it too!)And this is from someone who worked out at a gym 5-6 days a week for a whole year!! I've been using this machine regularly for a little less than a week, so far, but I feel fantastic. There are already differences in my lower body. My biceps and triceps--I haven't felt too much burn from yet. Maybe that will change with more use.I haven't tried folding it yet...and I have NO idea how to turn on the display--as it wasn't listed in the instructions. Speaking of the instructions, they were well illustrated and clear to follow.Quite satisfied with this purchase!

Poor quality pulley cord
So I bought this preparing for a trip to Africa. We were going to trek mountain gorillas so I wanted to build up my stamina. It was easy to put together. It’s portable around the house. I’m 5’4 and the settings were a good height. My problem is with less than 8 months of use, the pilot cord on the back has shredded. Since this has happened, I’ve tried reaching out to Royal for a replacement with no luck just as others have experienced. I’m very disappointed with the customer service. Now that I’m pregnant, I would love to use it since it’s low impact but can’t. It’s simply become an eye sore in our gym.

You may have a few issues, but use your 2yr factory warranty.
***Update: as of now, I am adding one star to my review. (Now 2 stars). I have been notified that the company is sending me a new wire. I will update again once received and working properly*******second update: I have received the proper cord to start climbing again. The 2 yr factory warranty is fantastic!! I am adding 2 more stars to my review (from 2 to 4 stars)Unfortunately, the wire snapped during my 3rd month after purchasing. When it worked, I thoroughly enjoyed the product.BEWARE: this product only has a 30day return/replacement window and again IT ONLY LASTED ME 3months.I was just about to tell my friend how awesome the product was, but barely lasted 3 months. A month ago, I would have given the product 5 stars, unfortunately, due to faulty product, and going by longevity, I give this product one star.Maybe if the company sees this and can reissue a new wire (or several, if this is an issue), then I’ll change my review.

Great workout for such a low price!
I've been searching online for a month on different indoor bike options. I had narrowed it down to the Nordictrack Commercial bike for $1999. One day while on Facebook, this add for the MaxiClimber popped up for dirt cheap under $200. I then started going down the rabbit hole googling video reviews, different brands, and pricing. I ended up getting this one because it was made of a steel frame, can handle up to 300 lbs, and I saw the Amazon Lighting Deal for $118! I immediately bought it, such a a great price since it is normally $138. It arrived 3 days late which kinda sucked . But I have been doing this machine every day trying to build up endurance. First time I tried it, ugh being so out of shape I was winded in 3 minutes. But each day got easier. It doesn't take up much space and is light enough for me to fold it and put it away if needed. My kids and husband randomly go on it for fun. I may get the Nordictrack bike later on but for now this will do.
