Good looking unit with a lot of features
Slick looking unit and lots of ports. I went with monster because they have a great warranty as long as you have the invoice AND purchased it from amazon and not a third party seller. If something goes wrong, they will replace it. You get what you pay for.

Terribly huge straight plug...
It's OK, but the plug is too big. Its plug is similar in size to that of an 1800 watt UPS, so they don't fit one beside the other. Being Monster "experts" in cables, they should have known better... they could have made a skewed plug instead of a tottaly straight one. That's why I'm taking away a star, and I start to believe that I'm being too generous...

What happened to Monster?
Well, I received this Platinum1200 as a replacement for Monster 1250G+ which it had failed, such as live.The Monster 1250G+ has been replaced by the above!Moster 1250 G+ looks sweet, like a component, with all the reciprocals are on the back and supported by little rubber dots to prevent scratching my other equipment and had Geen Power with controlled outlets, I have other components like a flagship A-V Denon receiver.I am now going to plug my components using this new Monster Black Platinum 1200 and it going to look horrible withThis new Monster Power-Black Platinum 1200 looks terrible. I have to be flat out honest.Don't judge me by my high tech paper clip, ha ha ha! It's very advanced needed equipment as today's standard goes.Mr. Noel Lee of Monster, please change the look, I want the original MONSTER LOOK back, instead of Wimpy flat extension look!Signed Khun Jeff

Little pricey, but compare to your home theatre system (100x) is worthy, slim beautiful design & Monster reputation give you clean power protect your gears.
