tired of the gouges in my shins from the common allen head hex screw studs, i installed these on all my platform pedals. i first discovered them when i installed a new set of Xpedo pedals and was delighted to find that they also sell replacement studs. the solid top design doesn't get clogged with dirt and rocks which makes other studs so nasty when they bite you. each stud come with pre-applied thread locker so they don't come out unless you want them to. just be careful not to over tighten and strip the treads on aluminum and magnesium pedals. now i can stay glued to my pedals and only give blood when they come around with that white van...

This is the stock Xpedo wrench but it has flaws in my opinion. Trying to address pegs near the spindle can often be challenging to position the wrench leadin to minor stripping. Other than that it does what it is intended to do.

Pins are fine, however the included wrench barely fits.

They give good traction but not for the evey day rider/commuter. At least one pin falls off a day during riding and I have to tighten the rest daily otherwise the pedal would fall apart. Good for 30 min of riding at a time.

These pins are great. They went in just fine and saved me from buying straitline pins, which cost $55.
