EdotenMen's Japan Kimono Denim Samue

I am 6 ft tall (182.88 cm) average/athletic build. I purchased 1 black and 1 navy blue according to the (confusing) chart. At first fitting they felt baggy/oversized, especially with the pants. The waist line felt right at belly button. I also noticed the dye from the material was bleeding. After soaking and washing cold for 2 cycles and tumble dry high for 50min I have noticed the dye has stopped rubbing off on my hands/furniture and the material has shrunk. I do not believe these garments have been pre-washed for shrinkage. However they fit as they should now that they have shrunk slightly. The dye has also lightened considerably after 2 wash cycles. Also, the fabric has softened up. Shipping was free, arrived in two days to Boston. Made in China. Garment label reads " Wa Bi Sa Bi". Care instructions are in Japanese. The Craftsmanship is average. Overall good purchase for the price but, keep in mind that the garments shrink, bleed and fade.

It would be helpful if the care instruction tag were written in Mandarin AND English.It does have care symbols, so wash in cold water in mild detergent and air dry.No dryer! It will shrink, it's cotton.Air dry and the greater care you take to smooth it out flat while it's wet the fewer wrinkles you will have after it dries.It wrinkles like linemen, so it needs a light iron. Like linen, this fabric will get softer and will gracefully fade as it ages.I could do without the drawstrings St the pants cuts as they are unnecessary and do not work anyway.I'm happy with it, my apprehensions about ordering the correct size.Again if your selling to the States please provide inches as well as metric.

The denim is considerably heavier than I expected. That's just a neutral fact; but this is definitely an autumn-winter item. Given the great length of the inseam, the jacket is almost comically short. Every juban I own sticks out at the bottom. I suspect that, as the jackets move from 2XL to 3XL to 4XL, the width increases and not the length. Given the width of the waist in the jacket, and the length of the tourser portion, the pants' waist is rather small. Overall, it's OK. There are much better products out there. Sadly none in larger sizes.

The recently purchased BLACK ones smelled bad. NAVY was fine.The smell did not go away even after washing several times.This happened twice in two years. I had to return them.I reported the problem to Edo-Ten in 2019 spring, and received polite apology.But I got the same problem again in 2020 winter.This samue has been my favorite for years. I really hope they fix the issue.

I recently bought one of these while on vacation in Japan and was very happy to find them available from Amazon so that I could get more in various colors. They're very comfortable and I use them daily for wear around the house, inside and out. They are based on garments worn by outdoor workers (gardeners, monks, etc.) in Japan and are also used as lounge wear at resorts and hotels, much like the complimentary robes provided by hotels in the U.S. It is acceptable to wear them anywhere in and around the resort and even in the town around the resort.

Chosen on strength of special offer. Sturdier than most samue or jinbei material, especially at its price. Good texture, and will need less pressing than my other kimono tops, seems able to hold its shape compared with other similar shirt jackets. A smarter look than other styles. Still pretty light material for denim, which is good considering the season. Still not a "live in" samue, though.

I like the fabric - heavier than other samue I have worn. Can actually see using this set for gardening, and it will work as three season wear here in the Pacific Northwest. Good quality sewing and fit. Prompt delivery.

The color was on the money but being denim is not quite right. I thought it would be the same as denim jeans weight but only regular cotton fabric.

Purchased this as a costume base layer for a brand new LARP system (Jade Throne) and it was warm and robust in a Coventry Campsite on a windy and wet September weekend. Comfy enough to lounge around the house in as well, hard-wearing enough to wear out and about. Impressed at how quickly it arrived as well.

This Japanese, outfit is the Dogs B! Very nice denim material. Very well made and it comes at a very good price, arrived earlier than expected. 5/5

die schwarze Farbe ist nicht fixiert und färbt die gesamte Wäsche !! zusätzlich ist ein Geruch, der an Mottenkujeln erinnert, also viel unangenehme Chemie, auch nach der dritten Wäsche nicht weg !!!
