Because I've recently learned about the toxins in recycled black plastic utensils, I have eliminated all my nylon, silicone and plastic utensils and replaced them with stainless steel and wood.I selected these FAAY utensils because they are made of solid pieces of beautiful teak and have ergonomic handles and they do not have varnish or dyes or synthetic treatment on them. They are 100 percent natural.These are perfectly crafted with no seams or splicing or rough edges. Because they are teak, they will resist moisture and will be part of my kitchenwares for the rest of my life.A wonderful investment.

I can’t believe these are only $12 or so. Very nicely made, beautiful to look at, with a smooth but tactile, not-slippery surface. The handles are tapered slightly and not round in profile, so they add a level of control and dexterity I’m not accustomed to, and give you a lot of leverage. Note these are hand wash, and need a coat of food-grade mineral oil periodically, like a fine cutting board. They are not indestructible, so if that’s what you want, look elsewhere. These are nothing like the bamboo spoons in the mesh bag in your grocery store’s kitchen gadgets aisle. They are precisely made.

love the color of the wood. Does not look or feel dried out even after using daily and hand washing. Spon depth is enough to be able to scoop food. Only suggestion would be to make edge of spoon sharper so that it can be used to scrape and scoop.

I had low expectations for this spoon when I bought it. I expected it to be longer than I like (maybe awkward), too light (maybe flimsy), etc. Well, I was right about it being longer and lighter than I typically choose, but it's worked out really well. It's surprisingly durable for its weight, and maneuvers easily for its size. I would definitely recommend it and would order it again.

This is the perfect sized spoon/scrapper for daily cooking. As a left-handed cook, this is comfortable to use for cooking.The length of the spoon is approx. 13.24 inches long. The finish is smooth and the spoon section has a nice edge for scraping. The only observation is the spoon area has a circular spot - time will tell if this is a defect after usage. Additionally, the packaging only states to wash before use.

We needed to replace one of our spoons and we prefer wood and stainless steel. After looking at the plethora of those available, we decided on the Faay Haus as we liked the back story, the deeper bowl of the spoon, and the fact that it's made of teak. It is sturdy and well-made and the company even followed up to make sure all was well. It's a great addition to our kitchen.

Arrived the next day. Looked beautiful, and I wouldn't necessarily have thought of soaking them in hot water and washing them thoroughly with soapy water hadn't it been for the fact that the little card that came with it about a month warrantee should the spoon break etc... being edge in brown, as if from the same spay colour as the spoon... that was a bit weird. So as I didn't want to eat wood dye, I cleansed it thoroughly and afterwards it wasn't that gorgeous exotic wood colour, but just the same colour as my older olive wood spoon and frankly there is nothing wrong with that. But I would definitely recommend washing it thoroughly first too. As to whether it lasts well, time will show and if not I shall amend this review. I use a mix of beeswax and walnut oil to keep my wooden spoons conditioned, and will do so with those two new ones from this brand too. Maybe once I use it the deeper colour will be restored? It would be the cherry on the cake. Apart from that big solid spoon/spatula beautifully crafted.

A visually stunning spoon, but also very practical with regards to everyday usage.No more shaking the can to make sure all its content is in the bowl/saucepan, or the splatter of tomato juice on your counters or clothes.I have used the spoon on the following cans, peeled plumb tomatoes, chopped tomatoes, baked beans, various soups both chunky and the normal fruit and veg, tinned tuna and salmon, to name but a few.Happy with my purchase, highly recommend.

Gli utensili sono validi e soprattutto in teak come nella descrizione dell'articolo MA c'è una cosa da far sapere soprattutto ai giovani: non è sufficiente lavarli prima dell'uso ma consiglio di farli bollire qualche minuto. Infatti l'acqua diventa marrone e loro ritornano grezzi ma ottimi per cucinare. Penso che gli sia stato dato l'olio per il teak ma non credo sia ottimale per i ragù e simili. Questo è il mio modesto parere.
