LixitHand Feeding Syringes for Puppies, Kittens, Rabbits and Other Baby Animals (10ML Pack of 4)

Ideal for feeding aging cats
This syringe is keeping my aging cat alive. She was diagnosed with early stage 1 kidney disease, then several consecutive stress events plunged her into (probably) liver disease and days of anorexia and bulimia. This feeding syringe plus a mousse-type food thinned with water has helped her bounce back from the edge, and she's still with me 9 weeks later.Occasionally the syringe has gotten stuck while cleaning it and the rubber tip pulls off in the plastic tube, but I've been able to get it out and reattach it without issues. If you have to do regular feedings, you may develop some calluses too, since the edge of the plunger end is a little sharp.Cleaning the syringe is pretty easy. Just be careful after cleaning because the syringe gets more slippery - I've painted my ceiling with liquid catfood at least twice trying to tap down the food and press out air bubbles...No real complaints though. A $6-7 syringe is way better for my budget and my cat's stress levels than an $800 feeding tube surgery. Each sick cat needs something different, but this has worked for mine for now.

Love This Item
I have a cat with mouth cancer..sometimes he likes to eat himself other times he doesnt..he was losing weight so I decided to try these to feed him..they work awesome..Tip..if u cant suck up enough food from the tip of the syringe I just use a small spoon and load the food from the back of the syringe..get the two pack its cheaper and u can load them up prior to administering so u don't have to stop and give your furkid all the food needed at once....btw..I'm a rescue mom and I care for 5 dogs and 15 cats..the cat I'm feeding is 18..the oldest dog I have is going to be 20 human years July 5th.Good Luck fellow pet moms and dads..hugs.

Great full meal cat syringe
A very good option for the sad task of cat force feeding, might have to squeeze the tip back into a circle now and then if your cat is a jaw clamper and squishes it into an oval over many feeds. Put in 55 force feedings with this thing, one full syringe 3 times a day, and brought our cat back from the brink of death due to hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease), yay! Hopefully I won't have to use it ever again ha.

Makes giving my large, stubborn dog his medicine 1000000 times easier!
I purchased this syringe after fighting with my large dog to take his Trifexis pill each month for nearly a year. By recommendation from our vet, we crush his pill up and dissolve it 3-4 tablespoons of water. The only medicine syringes we had were tiny, thus we spent most of our time refilling the syringes in order to give him his full dose of Trifexis. With this syringe, we are able to siphon up ALL of the medicine in one try and easily administer it without too much fuss on his part. I am no longer having to chase him through the house or shove pieces of pills down his throat for him to "protest puke" back up. Thank you for creating this large syringe and making my job as a dog-mom MUCH easier!

Great for force feeding a cat refusing to eat
This is huge, great for force feeding a cat who refuses to eat occasionally. Had no problem getting heβs wet food in the syringe. Can get messy so make sure to get a towel before feeding. Highly recommend.

Too large and long to easily feed small animals
This is a very long syringe for normal hands to use. If the syringe is filled all the way, it is almost impossible to hold the syringe and operate the plunger with the same hand. My hands are normal sized - I can play the piano easily, but I have difficulty with this syringe. Even after cutting off most of the tip, I have to brace the end against my chest to plunge it until it's about 1/4 empty and I can finally reach the top of the plunger. The lip at the top is too small to help get a good grip on.I use this for feeding small animals, so the tip must be in or near the animal's mouth and the plunger depressed gradually and with reasonable control. I'm very surprised others found it easy to use, though it's sturdy and otherwise good quality. I would much prefer a larger lip to hold on to, a fatter barrel, and for my one hand to be able to better operate it.

So Perfect for Pretty Baby Birds That Have Bad Momma Birds
A very not nice momma bird tossed her very pretty baby out of the nest from a great height. Somehow this pretty little baby landed in soft dirt and apart from being much, much too young to have been tossed out, no injuries. This tiny thing is wobbly and about the size of a plum. A friend told me that the only way this baby could survive would be to be hand fed with a syringe (a bit of water from my palm before this arrived). His (her?) beak fit perfectly in the tip of the syringe and nice cool water finally made it its way down. The baby birdie formula, Exact, won't arrive until tomorrow, and hopefully this pretty baby can grow healthy and strong before flying away. This is a wonderfully sturdy syringe, and it works, even for a confused tiny thing.

Life saver, lines won't rub off
I use this to force feed my rabbit when he has gut upset. Rabbits can die after 24hrs of not eating and pooping, so it is a good idea to invest in a syringe that is easy to get in their mouth and large enough to fit a feeding of critical care in. Before I tried using a large barrel syringe with a small opening and it was the worst thing I have ever done. Next I tried multiple small barrel syringes that weren't so frustrating, but took forever to fill. After those sessions, I bought this feeding syringe which was the BEST decision I have made for my rabbit.

a bit too large and cheap rubber cover on plunger
At first this worked ok. But I struggled to get my thumb and fingers around the plunger when filled up to 50ml.Also after the first feeding, the black rubber cover on the plunger expanded and then got stuck. The only temporary way around this was to coat it in olive oil and cut away the ridges on the rubber cover. This was disappointing and would have been better if the cover was plastic or no cover at all. When syringe feeding my cat, so many times the plunger got stuck and had to push it really hard and ended up squirting much liquid food everywhere.

Disappointed
I found it hard to use as the collar was too small

Arrived ok works well. Simple instructions and everything ok.

Not easy to use
Very stiff to use. So not very good for a small animal where you need one hand to hold the animal and the other for the syringe
