Customer Service
I searched diligently for this product and paid a premium for the distances it can measure.Sadly, Right after purchasing it I had to travel and the project I intended to use it for passed. It wasnât until four months later that I had opportunity to use it and discovered a problem. The device worked great on USB power but wouldnât function at all on battery power. The time allowed for returns had long since passed and I felt I had no recourse.I reached out to Huepar, without getting my hopes up, to see if they might at the very least point me towards an authorized repair service provider. To my surprise, they responded to my email immediately and asked to see a short video clip of the problem. I took a video on my phone and forwarded it, after which they again responded immediately and said they were sending me a new unit. Needless to say, I was thrilled and VERY impressed. They stood behind their product 100%, regardless of the time that had passed.I did use the measure on USB power and found it to be everything I had hoped it would be regarding accuracy and function. I have not attempted to use the accompanying smart phone app, so I canât speak to that.As soon as I receive the replacement unit, Iâll follow up here if changes are merited.

Works well but low battery life
I like this a lot. It seems to be accurate and the math/zoom features are awesome. My one complaint is that this thing has poor battery life. Itâs rechargeable so itâs not as big of a deal but make sure to keep your charger near by because youâll need it. It might get an hour or two worth of cumulative battery life which isnât bad you just have to turn it on and go straight to work with it.

Accurate, Responsive and Easy
Easy to see long distance in the daylight by using the camera. The laser measurer does not accidentally turn on while it's on your hip in the pouch to run down the battery because the on button has to be pushed for a longer period of time than just a bump. It adds and subtracts for easy distances between walls and makes my job as a real estate appraiser go much smoother.

Could be the BEST, but so far, its the WORST
This is a PRELIMINARY review.... will wait to see if Huepar resolves the issue.Bottom line, this unit could well be my most favorite, of the many LMs I have. It literally has about 2 dozen GREAT features that are easy to use, and very well presented on a multi color, backlit, TFT display. I will write a very lenthy reveiw of each feature and praising its merits, if..............And the "if" is - Huepar needs to response to my complaint and resolves the issue. Every feature works perfectly, but heres the kicker..... The unit i received will measure to 1/32 of an inch, but the problem is accuracy. If I measure something, the unit (in any mode or setting I use) is off in accuracy by almost exactly..... ONE FOOT (305 mm to be exact). I almost didn't catch this at first as I was measuring and testing it in ranges from about 7 feet on out to couple hundres. It wasn't until I just happened to test it on a door opening that was 3 feet wide, and it read 4. Further testing from 2 feet to 200 feet, it was ALWAYS off by 1 foot long. But because I liked the unit so much, I was tempted to convince myself.."I'll just subtract a foot from all my readings". But if you change units to inches, or meters, or use any of the square or cube or pythogras functions, you simply cant'. So thats NOT an option. And why should it be for a $200 unit. Hopefully Huepar will help me with all this, but so far, no response.UPDATED on Dec 12, 2020 - After writing the review above, and receiving an initial response from Huepar that didn't address the issue (probably language translation issue), I decided to purchase a second identical unit and return the first to Amazon. Promptly received the unit and began a quick test on it . Good new is, it worked perfectly in all respects and was accurate to 1/16 inch. So i was very happy. BUT THEN SOMETHING VERY STRANGE HAPPENED..... and I have made several more attempts to communicate this to Huepar, but I can NEVE ge them to understand, and their response is aALWAYS on another issue not related. I will give them credit for responding and try and eventually refunding me. But heres the PROBLEM...... and I believe its a software glitch that anyone can make happen and ruin you units accuracy. I just wish I could have made Huepar understand.Although what Im documenting happened with the 2nd unit I purchase, Im about 95% certain it happened exactly the same way with the first unit. Therefore, my conclusion is I can MAKE IT HAPPEN to any new unit. When the unit is new and fully charged, any measurement greater than 2 feet or about 23 inches will result in a very accurage measurement, in any mode, in any unit of measure, doing any function. A beautuful working unit. Then I lay it on a kitch counter and measure a wall thats 22 inches back from the edge of counter.....BOOM!!!The unit will permanent add ONE FOOT to the 22 inch reading and give you 2'10" instead of 1'10". AND FROM THAT POINT ON, THE UNIT WILL ALWAYS ADD THE 1 FOOT, TO ANY READING, IN ANY MODE, IN ANY FUNCTION.Its like the software just became confused on a measurement less than 24 inches, added 1 foot to its internal register, and FOREVER AFTER adds one foot to any measurement, in any more or function.I tried and tried and tried to explain this to Huepar, but they kept trying to tell me how to change an offset measuret in a mode that lets you repeat measurements.... THAT IS NOT THIS PROVLEM.Conclusion - great unit, until you measure something under 24 inches, then its permanently off by 12" and cannot be reset (believe me, i tried every combination of key presses and battery removals possibe to reset). Good luck.
