Toy Space Cruisers (12 Pack)

I've been scouring Amazon and other sites lately for cheap plastic space ships and scooped these up as part my search.These US Toy Space Cruisers come with pretty basic but serviceable paint jobs and there's a good selection. I got 12 ships with 10 different designs.They're actually are a new version of space fighters from the old ICE Silent Death game. Some of the same ships are used in the RINCO Plastic UFO set and the original set is still available from vendors like Metal Express in the US and EM4 Miniatures in the UK. Pack 144 Space Ships: Assortment of 1.5 inch Plastic UFOs in Assorted Colors As you can see the US Toy versions are the largest and the only ones that come painted. However they also have the lowest detail and have ugly 'made in China' labels embossed on the bottom (or in one case on the top of the ship).I would say if you don't care about paint, the RINCO set is a much better buy with 144 ships for the same price. If you're planning to paint or convert your ships then getting the originals from Metal Expess or EM4 is the way to go. But this set is a nice middle ground offering a decent number of painted ships for a very low price.

Great price and arrived quickly, these prepainted minis are from a game called Noble Armada/Armada Firestorm line (now defunct). Better quality than the original pieces and don't need painting. They even have the hole in the bottom for attaching to 28mm flight bases so just pick up some and you're in business for a tabletop space battle.

We ordered these to trade with Jawas at Star Wars Weekwnds at Disney World as Jawas like shiny things. When I ordered them I knew my boys would like them so other kids would like to receive them. These were a huge hit with my boys who insisted they had some to keep and trade. We even provided a couple to some others looking to trade. These would make great party favors as well for a Star Wars, space, Sci Fi themed party.

Pack contained a dozen ships, including all ten pictured with two duplicates. They range in size from about 1.75" square to 2.25" square. The product photo is accurate; all ships have at least some painting - usually the cockpit or engines. The quality of the paint job is actually slightly above what I'd expect for the price.

I bought these as complements for my ships for the starship game, Silent Death.While these ships are the correct designs, they're definitely not the correct size, as you can see by the photo.It's all good. I can still use these for one-off games, even though they don't match my other miniatures.

I was surprised by the level of detail in these molds, everything from tubing and metal paneling to mini-turrets and electronics. The paint apps are a bit shoddy and one of the ships has wobble-wing but the plastic feel good and the designs are very cool.

These give me a basic set of starships for Silent Death games. All I need to do now is put them on flight stands and they are in action.

For my son and he loves it. He likes the fact that it's not too big and not too small.The best thing about this set is it contains some pretty stylish space cruisers that both my son and I really like. The tackiest thing about it is the gold color. May look better if they were silver and white instead. No biggie.
