My beloved Surface laptop keyboard just stopped working one day. I took it to MicroCenter and the salesperson stated that multiple customers with the same older laptop had been in with the same problem. He thought that it had to do with a Windows update that just didn't sync with the keyboard. Regardless, I debated ordering this for weeks ($400 on a keyboard or should I buy new?!?). Knowing that Amazon would take the return. When it arrived, I took it out of the box, snapped on my monitor and it worked! The only difference is that the keys sound a little cheaper when you type. I have no regrets!

I was sent a clearly used and broken keyboard. The keyboard had a touchpad that was broken and rolling around in the packaging. The ribbon had snapped, rending the touchpad completely useless. The bottom of the keyboard was scuffed, and the rubber bumpers were coming up off the keyboard as well. To make it even worse, there were what appeared to be food stains (?) Or some other sticky substance on the keyboard. Very unsatisfied with the product, and I will be returning it. Would not recommend this item at all.

It was a bit of a headache to exchange this product multiple times, but I did finally ended up with a good, fully functional keyboard replacement.Bought this because as many others have experienced, Surface laptop keyboards malfunction after awhile. School was starting soon so needed a replacement with prime. 1st one I purchased had the Microsoft logo on it so it seemed legit. But the USB ports could not transfer files (unable to read). It was able to charge my phone though. Needed the USB port to work because I had files to transfer. So returned it and bought another one. That way it would come with prime shipping again. 2nd one didn't have the Microsoft logo on it. It also had issues. When the charger was plugged in, it would light it, but the battery icon on the screen wasn't showing that it was charging. Battery life went down and it still wasn't charging although the charger light lit up. Finally, decided to just contact the seller, but it brought me to Amazon's customer service 1st. Which worked out anyways because the Amazon rep was able to expedite a replacement within 2 days right before school started. The 3rd keyboard also had no brand logo. This one finally worked, every part of it. USB ports worked, charging worked. Fully functional.It was a nuisance having to go through 3 keyboards to finally get a working one, especially considering you're paying nearly half the price of a brand new laptop. So it would be nice to just get a great replacement right on the 1st purchase, but that's not what happened. Giving them 3 stars because the one I have now is running fine. It's been almost 2 months now of using it.If you purchase this and find errors with it, I suggest you contact them to get you a fully working one.

Worked perfectly and really came in the clutch when I spilled water on my previous keyboard. I love my surface and use it for my business constantly. It came fast and I was so relieved! Thank you!

First keyboard that arrived was barely functional.After requesting a replacement I am a happy camper. Replacement was perfect.

Quite disappointing to see it stopped working less than 1 year. Took care of it using cooling pad and never used keys since I had an external keyboard.Quite expensive for a one year “use”.

Bought it, received it, insatall it and mi book went back to life. The only issue is that this keyboard does not have the NVIDIA board that had my old keyboard. SO FAR, SO GOOD!!

Its refurbed never worked right. And i just trew it away.
