Sturdy Base
This base is rock solid on my AR rifle. A quality product for a very reasonable price.

Works great
You can spend more, not sure you can get a better mount.

good stuff
It is frustrating when you go to the range, sight your gun in just right, only to have it be off when you return to the range. Why does that happen? Well the quality of your scope is important to maintaining zero; but what if you have a good scope and that unfortunate loss of zero is still occurring? Think of your mount. It is what cradles and affixes your scope to your gun. It is the middleman that is often forgotten in the equation.I have owned, and own, good quality guns and scopes only to be frustrated with zero creep from outing to outing. I decided to invest in a mount that was as quality as the other components in the chain: gun and scope. A system is only as strong as its weakest link. I am glad that I did.I zeroed my scope at the range and took it home. The gun was bumped around, taken from hot to cold, from humid to dry, and back again. I went to the range again, fully expecting to have to tweak it a little this way or that way, and you know what, it was dead on. Dead on. I was amazed. I have taken the gun back to the range after testing the mount a little more. I was a little rougher on the gun, bumping it intentionally trying to gauge at what threshold the zero would be knocked off center. Dead on. While at the range, not suggested, I pounded the scope and gun with the palm of my hand to see just how good of a hold the mount had on the gun and scope. Dead on. I have not been able to disturb the zero in its cozy spot of accuracy for the life of me, and I have tried. Buy the mount, or if not this one, another which costs more than a gallon of milk; for there is often a correlation between quality and price. There are features of this mount which are unique to it over some other mounts of similar value though.I have this mount on an AR15. No AR is complete without being outfitted with a secondary backup iron sight. The rise of this mount allows for the rear iron sight (magpul) to sit comfortably under it without giving it so much room that you need to charge it rent for the space it takes up.In summation, this mount is durable enough to ensure that if your scope falls out of zero then you need to evaluate the scope. Additionally, it has the height to allow for an iron sight to sit underneath. If you are not mounting your scope with the intention to add such an accessory, then perhaps this mount will be too tall for your needs. Thanks

Good value for your money
I have a dozen scopes and several with mounts ts that cost more than my scopes. And ebmven though the price went up on these I use them on everything now. its the beat cantelever one pc. scope mount in both 30mm and 1" that money can buy. Why spend 150.00 to 500.00 for scope mounts when these for under 60.00 will do the job just fine. not only has cross bolts bug it has a cross cleat recoil lug. And for any AR platform rifle these will do just fine..just correct torque settings. 25 in. lbs. for rings. and less than 50 in lbs for thumb screws. I always use my fingers as tight as i can turn them then just a nudge using a Dime or a penny in screw driver slot. then pencil mark where the slots are so you can put the scope back in same place if you change out scopes. I have one AR in 308 using the ( DPMS or so called "mil spec" platform) and swap a 1-6 and a 4-12. scope all the time and they always go back to nearly dead on. no more AD recon $180.00 QD scope mounts for me..the cost of two of those can buy you a decent 3rd spare scope..think about it.......ps use a tiny bit of blue loctite on ring screws, just a touch on the first couple threads. dont go crazy..just a little bit shake it good so it mixes good.

Quality and value
Very pleased with this. Purchased for a value line build, and after a few months of use, I wouldn't hesitate to use it on mid to high end gear. Only complaint would be the included "wrench" for installation, but if you're only installing one is acceptable. If you do much additional you'll want to invest in a quality set of tools anyway.

Quality Mount That Works
One of the better choices for 1" mounts. It's affordable and rock solid. Mounted on flattop DDM4V5LW. Optic used: Redfield Revolution 3-9x40. Clears MBUS PRO rearsight just fine (don't expect to be able to use both at the same time though).Having 4 torx screws per retaining end makes sense -- keeps optic in place without overdoing the number of moving parts. The holes underneath the retaining ends serve no purpose other than weight savings; you wouldn't be able to see through them. The underside of the mount features a bar that takes up one picatinny slot; it's sink depth is adjustable by the 2 hex screws seen on the base. This bar, in addition to the 2 thumbnuts, take up 9 rails (the base is 3 5/16" long). The thumbnuts are just under 3/4" in diameter (they have knurling to aid grip). With the cantilever facing forward, there is plenty of room for adjustment, even over the non-rail section that meets upper and railed hand-guard. With no risers, my scope has 3/4" clearance over the top of the upper.Mount came in a plastic clam shell and a torx L key was included. After approximately 100 rounds, I found some play due to the thumbnuts undoing themselves. Cleaned the threads of the manufacturer's oil and applied Loctite blue (removable) to cure overnight. Came back to the range and shot 500 more and it stayed put.Like the other reviewers have stated, this is a no-frills mount. It comes from a reputable company and doesn't have a bajillion tacticool "enhancements". It just works.
