Steel Bike, Adult, 26 Inch, 6 Speed - Burgundy

Generally this bike is fine. As you would expect. Easy to put together with very little to do. One downside was the front tyre had an air leak so I repaired it easily. This could be from when the inner tube was inserted into the tyre and rim. My son thinks its brilliant and likes the riding position as the frame has a curve up to the handle bars. All in all worth the money I paid for it as I purchased it in the black Friday sale.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't really expecting much of this due to it's price, but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised as this really is a nice bike. The bike arrives in a huge box with nylon strapping to keep the heavy frame safely inside. Strapping removed I found the bike neatly packaged inside. Everything is securely wrapped and protected so there is little risk of damage during shipping, all painted areas are wrapped with cardboard to prevent chips or scratches.Like most bicycles that are ordered online, a certain amount of assembly is required. Mainly wheels, pedals, handlebar, seat etc. The bike is 80% assembled so it's not a big job for a competent person. All the tools you need are included, the tools are also handy for any future adjustments you may need to make. Personally I used my own tools as I was able to tighten things up a little more securely with those.Once assembled this is not a bad looking bike. The frame feels strong and well made, the wheels and tyres appear to be good quality. There are no mud guards on this so it's only really a dry weather bicycle unless you don't mind mud flicked up your back, after market mud guards are cheap enough to buy and are quite easy to fit. This has a modern slimline saddle which to be honest I find uncomfortable, but I'm old school and prefer the larger older fashioned saddles.Although sold as a lady's bike, there is no reason why a man cannot ride this also, the only real difference is the top bar which is slightly lowered for a woman to step over. This has large 26 inch wheels with big chunky tyres, the tyres arrive partially inflated but there is no pump included so that will need to be purchased separately. Six gears are available on this bike, there is also a reflector on the front and rear.Overall this is a nice bicycle for the asking price, it's not of the highest quality but does appear well made and sturdy and worth the money in my opinion.CONTENTS:1 x Adult Bike1 x Assembly Instructions1 x Assembly ToolsThank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

The gears are just poor, they don’t always change when requested, the chain has fallen off several times and I can’t get it into a low enough gear to tackle the hills I need it to and it was put together by an expert. An example of getting what you pay for sadly.

I have never ordered a bike online before so when it arrived part assembled I had a mild panic!When you get the bike out of the box everything is wrapped in brown paper and roll inserts for protection and things are cable tied together so it was packaged well and there was only two little scratches to the paint work.Once all the wrapping had been removed it was clear the rear wheel was assembled but other than that everything else, the seat, handle bars and front wheel needed assembling.There are instructions included and all the tools you need so if you are good at tinkering around with bikes you will breeze through this I am sure, but me! No this took me a long time to fit together! The seat is easy my problem was getting the front bars over the wheel because the brakes were in the way so I had to undo them to get it over but then I had issues trying to lock the brakes back into position. Then every time it was in a low gear the chain would come off. So if like me you are not use to assembling bikes this may not be suitable for you unless you have help.Assembly aside now the bike is done it is great quality, more than I was expecting for the price. Although this is advertised as a woman’s bike the colours are clearly unisex so a man wouldn’t look out of place on it and in fact my partner has jumped on it to whizz for milk save getting the car out!Overall this is a great find the only reason for knocking a star off is for assembly ease.
