Whatever It Takes: Stonewall Investigations: Blue Creek Series, Book 3

The author is someone who brings seemingly impossible situations, people and events together with love, concern and mayhem to make a completely believable story. I definitely want to read a lot more of Max Walker's inimitable writings.

I loved the two main characters… strong, dedicated and totally perfect for each other. The mayor was a great lady and Harry…so likeable.I was a little confused about the mayor’s husband… his attitude towards law enforcement wasn’t explained and there were statements made by his sons that made me question their upbringing.

I always like Max's books, especially when they're about serial killers. I liked this so much I would've given him 5 stars, except for 1really stupid mistake. At the end of the book he calls Henry Jason's older brother and a few pages later he wrote that Jason was upset seeing his younger brother Harry in scary predicament. How does this kind of mistake make it past the author, beta readers, and the editor?!? So annoying!

Detective relocates to a small town and lands a serial killer case. A FBI takes a serial case just to see the small town detective - he ready for answer he missed out on 6 years ago - it was time. It's the first series I read about Max Walker. Loved it from the beginning. Got me thinking alot. About the suspect, about the first time Jason and Matt broke up, I don't know, I think there must have been a confusion and no comunication. The ending, definitely not expected. The epilogue loved it. I would have liked a little more at the end. Really liked Matt and Jason. Short and easy to read all 3 of them. Recommend it!

What a great story, and series. I’m so happy and sad at the same time, to have finished it. Matt and Jason were the perfect people to finish this case. Their pain and happiness, the way they worked so well together, and the edge of your seat finding was just perfect. The only bad thing is what to read next. Stonewall, the whole lot of detectives, was an awesome experience.

Jason is a detective with Stonewall investigations working on the Pegasus murders. Matt is a F.B.I. agent that is working with stonewall on the case. Jason and Matt have a history but they overcome the obstacles to solve the murders. Plenty of love moments, loads of suspicious characters keep this mystery on point! Too bad it is the final investigation in Blue Creek. Definitely need more Stonewall please

Having the love of your life walk back into it after having to give him up was hard. You loved your brother enough to give him what you wanted most even though it still hurts years later. Now they're both in town, one to help work your serial killer case and the other to tell you something important, but it will have to wait because the killer strikes again.

Sad to have the Blue Creek series end. Love small-town romances and have really enjoyed the many Stonewall Investigators finding love.Jason and Matt’s story is lovely and heartwarming, even though it is set in the midst of serial murders that have taken their inspiration from the Unicorn killer (see the original Stonewall series).These two loved each other once, they made great romantic partners as well as FBI partners. But Jason left it all behind, afraid of hurting his brother. Instead, he hurt himself and Matt.When they find themselves working the Pegusas case together, there is no denying that all those feelings they once had are still burning strong. But if they are going to have a shot, they have to come clean with their best friend and brother and find a serial killer.I loved that these two didn’t fall into any major drama, they fell into step with one another, made peace with their past, and navigated their future together. It was lovely because really, chasing a murderer is drama enough!

I’ve enjoyed all three of the Blue Creek books. Jason is the newest member of the Blue Creek team and he is lead investigator in the Pegasus serial killings case. As the case intensifies and more murders occur the FBI send in a behavioural analysis, who also happens to be Jason’s ex Matthew. Matthew was Jason’s brother best friend and their affair had to be kept a secret because of that fact. When Jason’s brother confided that he loved Matthew and wanted a life with him Jason did what he thought was best and left town. Now five years later and seeing Matthew again, it’s obvious they both still loved each other. This is their story and I really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed them piecing together the murder clues. Good story👍

Loved the story not the murders but I know that these things happen in life. Jason and Matt make a wonderful team and work so well together. Thanks again Max for a great story keep it up love it.

I enjoyed this story, didnt know who did it until near the end, it was a surprise. I like this two together Matt and Jace, they really worked together. Looking forward to reading more.
