Good quality, sharp 1080p compact dashcam
I wanted a decent quality low cost dashcam and this particular one caught my attention. It had all the features I need. It's a small square size and I found the functions, easy to grasp and to set. The 1080p resolution is very sharp and and I like the feature where it auto starts recording, should someone collide with the front of my vehicle. It was simple to setup and the hardest thing (not that difficult) was to hide and tuck the wire behind the trim, the best I can. The menu was easy to scroll through and setting up the time and date was simple enough. The unit was quite nice, durable and better built than I expected, considering the price. I got a free micro SD card included! This meant I could get it up and running.Day time and night time images were sharp enough to see the registration and car. Fantastic!Very good value package.

Nice bit of kit
Well packaged and immediately ready to use as memory card already inserted. As small as it says it is and takes up very little room on the windscreen. The rear screen is, of course, small but it's still quite easy to see detail. Fitted very solidly to windscreen using the sucker pad and tightener. Also included some sticky backed plastic cable holders to keep the wire tidy, however, only three included which is nowhere near enough, so I've had to buy some more rather than having to try to tuck the wire away into the window surround. All in all, for the price, I'd definitely recommend it.

Quality piece of kit
This is an excellent camera for the money, comes with its own formatted SD card and you also get a handy tool and cable pads to help conceal the wiresLooks and feels well made, and lovely and compact so not too intrusive on the windscreenEasy to fit and get working, I have not had reason to “lock” any video or play any back but I am sure it will be easy to do - just need to get a card readerGreat value for money if all you want is an element of piece of mind without breaking the bank

Good quality dash cam
Fantastic price and decent quality. Easy to set up and fit, comes with more than enough cable to make hiding the wiring an easy process. The camera itself is small enough to fully hide behind the rear view mirror so causes no distraction when driving.

Huge disappointment
I bought this for a trip to Naples, thinking I'd get some great footage of driving through the city with its famous traffic, up Mt Vesuvius, etc.I set it up as in the instructions to not overwrite files automatically, and kept an eye on it so that I'd pick up if the 64GB card was running out of space. The video that it did capture was excellent, but it seems that it decided to overwrite files anyway. That means that I lost the whole of my drive up Vesuvius, and the whole of a drive through the city centre in rush hour. Not only that, but it seems to have overwriteen files randomly - so that I have two days complete driving saved, other days with nothing at all, and a couple of days with only the last 10 minutes or so (3 files) of driving. It was definitely recording the whole time, with the red light flashing in the corner of the screen and no warning displayed at any point.I can only think that you have to protect recorded files after the end of every trip so that they don't get overwritten, and also set it to not overwrite at the start of every trip. Setting the latter option once doesn't seem to "stick" once the unit has been switched off.Note that, if set to 3 minute files, it creates sequentially numbered .MOV files of almost 300MB each no matter how much actual footage is in each file - so you can switch the car on and off straight away and there goes 300MB of disk space. That gives you an idea that each minute of footage uses 100MB. Therefore 10 minutes is 1GB, and hour will need 60GB. These are huge file sizes for the amount of footage.Enormously disapponted that no warning is shown when the card is nearly full - I had spare cards with me which remain uunused, and I won't get another chance to recreate the footage that is now lost.Good as a general purpose dashcam, but be sure you understand exactly how it works before trying to use it for what I did.

Small but excellent dash cam
We bought a iiwey dash cam for my husbands car 7 years ago, it’s never let us down and that wasn’t very expensiveOn the back of that I chose to buy iiwey small dash cam for my small car. So far excellentEasy to install and not intrusive

Poor video quality
I’m extremely disappointed with the video quality of this dash cam. The recordings are so poor that identifying details like number plates is nearly impossible. Out of 100 number plates, only one is barely visible, and this is consistent across both daytime and nighttime recordings. This defeats the entire purpose of having a dash cam for safety and accountability on the road. The footage is grainy, and the lack of clarity makes it unreliable in critical situations. I cannot recommend this product to anyone who values a dash cam for its intended purpose. Look elsewhere for better options!

Cheap and cheerful
Cheaper than an almost identical dash cam I bought a few years back, which was stolen just before Xmas! Like that one, it does seem to have a loose power lead as it keeps turning itself off and on. Like the old one, a bit of tape keeps it in place but I really wish the manufacturers would sort this out as it is annoying. Seems to work ok, videos are clear and not too distorted at the edges, considering it’s very wide angle. Small and discrete, doesn’t take up any screen space. The sucker seems to be a bit poor, but tbh, I suspect I need to clean my windscreen to get it to hold in place as my old one was great. Main downside for me is that it’s often not easy to get off the bracket, and as it’s only plastic I’m always scared I’m going to break it!
