Very moisturizing as a night cream, but smells awful
I originally bought this cream for eczema, but unfortunately it did not help. (That’s probably not the cream’s fault to be fair; even prescriptions don’t work!) I didn’t want to waste the cream so I used it as a night cream on my face. I have very dry, acne-prone, sensitive skin, so the cream had its work cut out for it.It actually performed surprisingly well - keeping my face moisturized all night without clogging my pores or breaking me out. In terms of thickness and consistency it reminds me of the First Aid Ultra Repair Lotion, which is absolutely awesome. However, I feel like the First Aid Repair Lotion breaks me out sometimes whereas this definitely does not. Then again, the First Aid Repair Lotion is truly unscented while this is “unscented” but the natural ingredients in it smell really, really bad. It’s not an artificial or perfume-y scent - the ingredients are just very herbal and smell nasty in my opinion. Luckily if I can stomach it while I’m falling asleep the smell is gone by morning.Pros:-very moisturizing-moisture lasts all through the night if used as a night cream-doesn’t irritate my face or cause breakouts-safe to use near eyes-good price for the quality of the product-no artificial scent or perfume-non-oily-sinks into skin nicely, rather than sitting on top of itCons:-jar is unsanitary-natural ingredients smell awful-does not help with eczema

My skin got better within about 2 weeks of use and I didn't ...
I have been cursed with combination skin. I also live in the midwest, so my skin is in a constant state of confusion. This winter has been particularly harsh and my skin, particularly my nose and forehead, has been incredibly dry and flaky. I bought this because it's cruelty free, which I appreciate. As far as the moisturizing and repair part, it works very well. My skin got better within about 2 weeks of use and I didn't break out or anything, which is rare when trying new lotions. The only issue I have with it is the smell. The smell is hard to describe, but it has this stinging bit, almost like menthol without smelling minty, that made my eyes water like crazy. I never put it on or around my eyes, as it instructs to avoid, but I had to put it on my nose and forehead, which, of course, are relatively close to my eyes. Every use, without fail, my eyes would water up and tears would stream down my face for a good 5-10 minutes. No joke. I wouldn't categorize my eyes as particularly sensitive to anything, so I don't know why this was happening. I'm giving it 4/5 because, aside from the smell, it really is a good lotion.

Moisturizing But Didn't Help Her Hives
I got this natural moisturizer for my mom who had broken out in body hives due to stress from work. I knew a stress-related condition would mean a more holistic approach would be required to truly get to the bottom of things. But in the meantime, her itchy skin needed some relief. She originally told me the cream wasn't working for her, but she'd only tried it once or twice so far. She finally went to the doctor to seek help after a few days, and was given an anti-histamine allergy medication which did wonders. She got colloidal oatmeal to bathe in, and I gave her peppermint essential oil to add to her bath as well. The oil was surprisingly refreshing and relieving for her itchy skin. All of these things helped her a lot and the hives died down. Then she continued to use this Intense Healing Cream and told me that she likes it. It seems to help moisturize and smooth her skin. However for a real case of hives, it did not get the job done. But of course I can't speak for the other mild skin conditions that it may help.I purchased this moisturizer after comparing several different kinds and I really like the natural ingredients it contains. Hey my mom is okay with this tiny tub of goodness so I don't regret the purchase.. And it IS very small. But I'll take a small amount of product over nasty chemicals and synthetic perfumes any day.

Silky healed hands.
We recently moved to a colder state where the wind just whips and the air is dry. My hands started to feel like rough feet with small painful cracks splitting open. I was minutes away from using a pumice stone on them to try and make them soft again because they just wouldn't heal or moisturize. I decided Thena was worth a shot because my kids were also starting to suffer the same dry, itchy, sore skin I was.The jar is very small. It fits in the palm of my hand. I thought I was going to blow through the cream in one use, but was pleasantly surprised to see that it doesn't take a lot to moisturize an area. It looks like it'll go on heavy and greasy, but it's very light weight. It didn't instantly smooth my rough hands, but after a week of use I'm happy to report that I haven't resorted to sand paper. The cracks have healed and my hands feel much softer. It has a pleasant minty scent and leaves a silky felling.

It really works! Irritated, flaky skin problem gone.
So, I bought the 1 oz. size because I wasn’t sure it would help my problem. I just turned 50 and already have a dry skin issue in the winter months. It hasn’t even started getting cold here in Alabama yet, and my skin on my face was itchy and flaking. I’m chalking that up to old age. Anyway, I’ve been using some pretty expensive lotion I bought from a cosmetic store that was not doing anything for my flaking skin. I started using this Saturday morning. I put it on a few times on Saturday and again a few times on Sunday. By Monday, no more flaky skin. My make up went on beautifully! Itchy irritation is gone. I’m definitely buying the larger size next time. It does only take a little. The scent is light and I only smell it when I first apply it. It smells kind of like an herbal smell. Actually it reminds me of my ColorProof moisturizing shampoo that I get from my hair stylist. Hope this helps someone make a decision on this product. I rarely review anything, but I love this lotion.
