Bulb defect or maybe not compatible with Benq W1070
Bought this product for my Benq W1070. First one came and was not working, projector indicated Lamp not working. So I returned for replacement, second one came and have the same issue with the bulb. I had to order from different vendor to be sure my projector was working properly and it was working fine. It’s probably could be bulb was not compatible or Star lamp bulb was defect both time. Anyway I returned for refund.

Who turn on the lights?!
I've bought several replacement bulbs over the years. This was noticeably brighter. Very happy with the results. Jury still out on how long it lasts, but for the price if it lasts a 1yr+ I'd be happy.

Ok, good price, not great.
I couldn’t get this housing to work, so i had to remove the lamp & place into my old housing, a pain. But brightness was good. Only lasted 1500 hours, not 2500-3000 as advertised, but way cheaper than the factory benq option. Overall nit bad.

Avoid - Blew up 192 days after installing - 12 days after warranty expired
The bulb blew up 192 days after installing which was 12 days after the warranty expired. I didn't think much of it at the time, thinking it was just a bad decision on my part to go with a substandard bulb but after installing a new quality bulb I realized how dim this bulb really was the whole time. My new bulb seems to be 2x brighter and I guess I never realized it when I initially installed it because we had gotten used to the 3 year old original bulb for a few months.

Excellent price.
Works right out of the box. Easy install. Took me about 15 minutes longer then it should have since my Benq is mounted on the ceiling and had to install upside down. Lol. No issues resetting etc.

Lasted less than 1000 hours and the heat made a small fire inside projector.
Bought about 4 - 5 months back and it worked pretty well, but heat from lamp caused a small fire to flash (I am guessing there must have been some dust build up somewhere). In the end, the lamp lasted less than 1000 hours.

Short life, loose fit
Fit poorly. Burnt out in less than 2 months of normal use.Update:Contacted seller. Responded quickly. Sending replacement. Will update based on longevity of new bulb.
