GenLed Green Hose

Update: I bought 2 and both exploded and broke during use. Last night, my dog pooped on some sheets and I needed a hose to clean it off. Or course, this piece of garbage exploded and created a huge whole in lining, making it useless when j needed it most. I will never buy an expandable hose again after this experience.Old Review: Overall, I like it. The price is good, the quality is high, and it's easy to tuck away. I ended up buying two of these, one for both sides of my house. The only thing I don't like is that when you set it down unattended, the hose goes ape sh*t and moves all over the place like a rotating sprinkler or something. I have a feeling it's due to the flexible material. That part is slightly annoying, but like I said, I ended up buying a second one since I like it overall.

Lots of loose, thin fabric on this hose, which I'm not a fan of. I'm using it in my front yard, which has a thorny lemon tree and lots of rose bushes. Also, I didn't notice that below the brass connection area it is plastic. Boo! I should have ordered another Tespressolife hose, which I now have two of and am *very* happy with (all brass, no plastic).

I ordered two of these. The second is by the pool. I was using it to wash some filters. Turned off at the nozzle to return a filter to the pool. Was only away from the hose for a few minutes and it burst at the shut off valve end. I know the directions say that you shouldn't leave the hose on for a length of time, but not even for a few minutes? That seems like poor engineering...If I am using it, am you supposed to leave the hose running the hole time? Or am i supposed to walk all the way back to source and shut off, when i am only away for a few minutes? Why even include a shut off nozzle then! Seems ridiculous.

I have finally accepted that these are disposable hoses. I purchased two 'lookalikes' previously at Walmart and I had hoped that this model would be a little more rugged. I love the concept, the convenience and the functionality of these hoses - while it lasts. But, invariably, after a month or two of usage, I look back and see a geyser of a leak. As careful as I try to be, I'm not sure what I am snagging on - assuming I'm snagging on anything at all. It's a shame they can't design a more durable outer sheath to protect the very vulnerable tubing inside. So, it's back to the old school heavy and cumbersome Goodyear hose I've had for years.

I had purchased the hose for my side yard that doesn't get a lot of use. Mostly for the 'once in a while' cleaning of my garden tools. After about 2 months, the hose sprung a leak near the faucet end. Up until then, I liked the hose, but if it only lasts a short period of time, I don't want it. I am very disappointed. I saw another review with a similar story of lasting about 6 weeks. It seems like they have a design or manufacturing problem. I gave it 2 stars only because I liked what the product was attempting to accomplish, but the quality is lacking.

For what I paid for this hose, it is alright. It leaks at the connectors, but not enough to make it unusable. The connectors seem like they will break easily. I did not order this hose to use regularly, just as an occasional use item. If you are wanting something to use frequently or that is durable, I would look elsewhere.

MY THIRD ONE.. THIS ONE SEEMS TO BE BETTER MADE THAN PREVIOUS COLLAPSIBLE HOSES.. THESE ARE GREAT IF YOU HAVE LIMITED SPACE TO PARK THE HOSE BUT THESE COLLAPSIBLE HOSES CAN BE TOUCHY AND BREAK EASILY.SO FAR THIS ONE HAS OUTLIVED THE OTHERS. FINGER CROSSED AND I WILL PROVIDE ANOTHER CRITIQUE IF IT LASTS A YEAR....

We have only had this for a few days, but so far, I love it! I got tired of the great big, heavy, hard hose being wound up on the front sidewalk. It got in the way and the connection between 2 hoses leaked a lot of water. I meant to get a reel for it, but that would also take up room on the walk, and it is still a pain to pull out, etc. I ended up trying this and I am SO glad I didn't just get a reel. This is super lightweight and flexible. It becomes small and I can just tuck it under the bushes in order to keep it off the sidewalk. I love the ability to stop the water at either end. Bonus: this is half the price of a reel, and tons better!
