SUMMARY:Forget all the other charger trays for RAV4, this one is as good as it gets! There's some heat produced in the process of charging which is normal in wireless charging, anyway. But the strong MagSafe/magnetic alignment keeps the phone in place and doesn't let the phone move around; if you're using a case, make sure you use a MagSafe compatible case in order for this to work.The installation is pretty simple and easy; you'll do just fine if you follow the instructional video even if you've never done this before.TIP:I did, however, do a little adjustment to the charger: the charger alignment orientation comes in a way that the bottom of the phone would face towards the passenger and not the driver. This made it a little awkward for me to throw the phone in as I'm generally grabbing the bottom of the phone to slide it into the tray. All you have to do to change the orientation is to unscrew the 6 screws holding the charger, add a bit of a pressure to pop the charger down from the frame of the tray, rotate it, and screw it back on. Just be cautious not to apply too much torque when screwing back on.RANT:I've gone through 2 different iterations of wireless charing for my RAV4: first was the old 9V wireless charging that pretty much did nothing for my phone, second was the fast charging tray that seemed to overheat my phone while charging probably due to poor alignment with the rubber feet that never really held onto my phone. I've even tried to buy a magnetic ring to keep the phone in place with the fast charging tray, but, well, you're not supposed to do that and the charger seemed to heat up and caused me concerns. In the past I had to keep my phone on low-power mode to reduce power consumption while using wireless CarPlay and also keep it wired so the battery level doesn't go down, but now neither is necessary; not only does the charger keep the power alive, it actually charges UP. Finally, this is exactly what I was looking for.

We got two of these for our tundras with high hopes. The charging is intermittent and the light constantly blinking is distracting. We are sending one back because it was just too much wrong and can't send the second one back otherwise we'd return it too.Your phone will get overly hot also. Recommend you look elsewhere.

Well so far so good it’s only been a couple of days though. Installation was a challenge. None of the instructions are in English I think it is written Chinese. You tube helped. The charger itself seems to be temperamental as far as where the phone sits to charge it. It doesn’t charge very fast either or maybe it’s just me. The light on it flashes when you have connectivity and flashes faster when you lose it. It pretty bright , I am already trying t figure out how to dim it at night.

Very easy to follow installation. Follow the video and you can’t go wrong. If you have an iPhone 14 pro max with a case, don’t bother buying. (It won’t work). I tried 3 different phone cases and none of them worked on the iPhone 14 pro max.Without a case on the phone, it works and charges the phone as expected. But if the phone slides around, it’ll lose the connection and will stop charging.If they can figure out how to fix this issue they’ll get 5 stars. The product fits perfect and it’s easy to install but it’s useless to me if I can’t charge my phone on it.

Install was easy but the charger itself failed. Had my phone that was 100% and depleted the battery to 89% within a 30 minute drive. The phone became extremely hot and the most annoying of it all, a blue indicator bar keeps blinking the entire time.Last night when it was installed, the light was annoying and there is no power button to shut it off so I can’t imagine a long drive at night and that bar blinking whether the phone is charging or not.👎👎👎👎 for this product and please save your time; I just contacted Amazon to return it because it’s garbage!

Very nice auto charger for cell phones. Works perfect in my 2021 RAV4 Hybrid XSE for my iPhone (8 plus) even when it is in the case. Minimal effort to install.Recommend looking at multiple YouTube videos (even competitors videos) to make instillation easier. The instructions are written in broken English, and visualization is extremely helpful, especially with the rear connectors.Blue tray light comes on only during charging, and is not too bright nor distracting.It even has the plastic shimmying tool to help during installation. But please be gentle, even with the plastic tool. It can still leave scratches if your too aggressive.Looks like OEM, not like a cheap knock-off. Great Qi charger for a great price.

I should have guess that getting a Chinese made "wireless charger" would not work properly. It was easy to hook up but thats it. It takes forever to charge your phone if u can put it in the right spot. Then it makes your phone get really hot. Then i just recently figured out that it drains your vehicle battery because it doesnt stop pulling power. Its a great idea but dont go the cheap way to get something like this.
