It's a switch and seemingly the only switch that does what it does. I found plenty of usb-c switches but none of them included data transfer capability .I read some reviews on this one and took a chance. If you order this, just be patient because it will take longer than what is estimated. It took over a month but I am pleased and happy that I didn't demand a refund.

Every USB-C Switch that I found on my wide search was power-only, meaning that USB data did not work. This is the only USB-C switch that was marked for power and data. Due to the low price I tested this out, waiting several weeks for it to be delivered. I'm now listening to J.S. Bach and Vivaldi while writing this review with the audio going into the USB-C switch over a USB-C cable into audio interface and then into my headphones. I'm surprised that this worked, it appears to be the only one of its kind out there. The only other option is a USB-C KVM switch, which takes up more space and is a less elegant solution. I'm very thankful to have been guided towards this device, exactly what I needed. Praise the Lord.

I purchased an AC to USB-C transformer. It lacked a switch to be useful for a Raspberry Pi 4. This made up for that lack. It works well. It is too soon to know how well it will hold up in the long term, but I have no reason to believe it will fail. I think it is a good buy if one desires a switch in order to power up and turn off a Raspberry Pi or hotspot based on a Raspberry Pi or other devices.

Best to read tech spex before buying.
