Have you ever wondered why all Feedback Sports wash and repair stands have exposed frame above the clamp head? Our Pro Truing Stand is designed to sit atop all of our portable stands! The truing stand also includes a free-standing steel base and a bench-mount adapter for when you’re not traveling to races and top-secret trailheads. This single-arm, precision wheel and rotor truing stand is awesome at home and excels at races, events, or adventure-riding weekends. And with the provided thru axle adapters, it can accommodate the most common wheel sizes for quick release or thru-axle hub designs.

Solid product but dishing with QR skewers may require an extra washer
I used this to true a set of wheels for the first time. I'm happy with the purchase and the product. While truing the wheels my eyes sometimes had problems viewing the white nub/gauge that touches the wheel well due to a lack of contrast. It would be nicer if it was a neon color or something. Beyond that minor suggestion the big issue with the product for me was dishing wheels that use QR skewers. With a QR skewer I found that the wheel wasn't mounting to the stand in a reliable/exact/repeatable fashion which preventing me from dishing my wheel properly and (due to me being a beginner) wasted hours of my time. The slot that the wheel mounts to on the stand is just big enough that the nuts at the end of my hub would fit into the slot more/less depending on how it was rotated/positioned. This was easy enough to fix using a washer but I really wish it had been advertised that this would/might be an issue. I'm not sure if it would introduce compatibility issues but I think the slot could have been machined smaller and with sharp/unrounded edges to prevent this issue. The experience with a thru-axle using one of the included adapters was great. Truing and dishing the wheel was a pretty easy task. I did lube the thru-axle adapter because when I was tightening it up at first it would bind and get stuck. I worry that if it would have bound while inserted into my wheel it would have been a challenge to get it out. The design of the adapters also leaves me worrying that after repeated use it would gouge/marr the inside of the thru-axle hole in my wheel.

Solid tool for a reasonable price
I run a small bike shop out of my garage and I got this as my first wheel truing stand about a year ago. I have trued over 100 wheels on this stand and I’ve been completely satisfied with it, especially for the price. Here are my thoughts:Pros:• It is sufficiently adjustable to accommodate all standard bicycle wheel sizes. I’ve trued 29ers (with the tires still on), all the way down to 18” wheels on children’s bikes.• I like the layout of the stand. This is a simple design that is easy to adjust. The arm that holds the wheel doesn’t adjust or move, but it has a sliding gage attached to it that you can move up, down, in and out to match the wheel you are working on.• The gage has a little plastic spring-loaded tip that doesn’t dig into the rim if the wheel hits it.• I don’t have my stand bolted to anything, it just sits on my work bench and its own weight is sufficient to hold the wheels and allow me to work without any problems.• I have tested the through-axle adapters, and they work well. 99% of the time you won’t need them though—you can just quickly mount a wheel using the skewer and quick release mechanism.Cons:• This stand only has an indicator on 1 side of the wheel. That means that you don’t always know which way to pull the wheel, especially if the wheel is wobbly all around, which could translate to a wheel that isn’t dished properly. This really shouldn’t be such a big deal for 95% of wheels.• If you want to mount this on your work bench, you’ll have to drill your own holes because it only comes compatible to be mounted on Feedback brand work stands.• This stand doesn’t come with storage space for your wheel tools. It does have an indentation on the base that can hold a couple spoke wrenches and maybe a small bag of replacement spoke nipples, but you will really need to have your own space to keep your wheel tools.Bottom line:I like this stand and definitely feel comfortable recommending it to do-it-yourselfers and those who own their own bike shop. Of course there are nicer truing stands available out there with more options and that are more accurate for truing, but at the end of the day you have to ask yourself if you are willing to pay in some cases hundreds of dollars more for fractions of millimeters in real-world results. Maybe it’s worth it to you…for me this one works great.

Solid, affordable, and workable albeit with a couple drawbacks unique to the design.
Just finished using this to rebuild a couple 29 inch wheels. I bought this first because it was cheaper compared to higher end stands and cost less than the shop estimate to do it for me. I was able to use it to lateral and radial true the wheel with relative ease. The construction quality and feel is very good, there are however drawbacks to the single side quick release mount. If you remove the wheel say to shake out loose or broken nipple, when you remount it it may not line up the same with the rim guide. This could be an issue if you're trying to be super precise. With the single side guide it is also difficult to find the true center of the wheel, something that's not a problem with a dual side truing stand. For value I give it five stars, but the nature of the design limits it to four. Maybe if they redid the stand to include a pincer type guide it would rate higher. I do really like the tray where I can drop tools and parts. I also like the soft rubber feet under the steel plat that keeps it from slide around. I love being able to true the wheel with a 2.4 in tire attached. I haven't tried attaching it to a bike mount, but I'm going to bring it with me to an event to give it a try in case I have to true a wheel after a practice ride.

Good stuff
UPDATE: So after using this to actually build a set of wheels on a pair of hubs that had sealed bearings with press on end caps I found this stand to lack a bit of stability for this style of hub. It still holds the hub relatively firmly but there is some movement due to the design of the hub. The hub requires a clamping force in order to remove the play from the system and although this is not the fault of the stand, it does make working on any wheels with this style of hub a bit of a challenge. For this reason I reduced my original rating down one star. With that said I would probably buy this again know this, but it would depend on if I was using the stand to build wheels or to maintain existing ones.Original review...I recently got back into biking and realized that I should probably get a truing stand so that I can fix my wheels and make sure they are running straight. With the proliferation of disc brakes on many bikes it is not necessary to have truly straight wheels anymore and minor imperfections won't affect things too much as they would in the days of rim brakes.I was skeptical at first, my previous truing stand was a traditional stand that had a support on both sides of the hub. I wasn't sure how stable this would be but after reading a few reviews I decided to give this a try.Very little assembly was required for this stand. Included in the box is the base plate, the truing arm and 2 thru axle adapters. Just put the truing arm on the base and adjust the angle of the arm, tighten it down and you are ready to go. Very easy setup. My previous stand actually required tools to put it together. So this wins hands down. The stand comes with 2 thru axle adapters 15mm and 12mm, this should suffice for most people unless you have a downhill bike which runs 20mm, in this case you can buy the extra adapter at a very reasonable price. I like that they kept that adapter out of the kit, as much as I like to have complete kit, it probably saved some money in the final price. Most other stands require you to shell out big money for adapters it was nice to see this have the 2 major ones included.I tried truing my 29er rear wheel with 12mm thru axle, tire on and it had ample clearance to not hit the baseplate. This is extremely helpful for those running tubeless tires, this means you don't have to remove the tire to true the rim. It was quite easy to fit the adapter onto the thru axle and attach it to the truing arm. The first thing I tested was to see how stable this would be and if there would be any significant movement that would throw off the wheel truing experience. There is some movement but as long as you are not putting any side pressure on the rim it should not affect anything as you go about your business straightening the rim. So for those concerned that this will ruin the experience don't worry about it. It works perfectly fine as you spin the wheel. The stand is also very stable front to back and side to side. At no point did i feel the stand would tip over without it being mounted to a shop bench. My previous stand that I owned was very tippy and would tend to fall backwards especially if a tire was on the rim.The feeler gauge is great, it has a plastic tip that is spring loaded so that it does not scratch the rim. I used the rotor truing guide briefly and it worked well. I haven't had to true an extremely bent rotor yet. If you need to check dish you can always flip the wheel and mount it on the other side and check the feeler gauge in relation to the rim. Not quite as easy to do on this style of stand so I recommend getting a dishing tool. This also folds up nicely for storage if you do not have much space. you can either take the truing arm off the base or adjust the truing arm down so that it lays flat. This is much better than the majority of truing stands on the market, most are large pieces of metal that take up a considerable amount of space. In addition to folding up nicely this can also be mounted on a Feedback repair stand so you can have the truing stand close by while working on a bike. I have yet to do this as I don't have my Feedback repair stand yet but perhaps someday I will get one.I also found this to be one of the more wallet friendly stands on the market. I didn't really want to spend a lot of money on a stand at this point as I would rather put that money into bike parts. If you are thinking about it just get it and give a try, I am sure you will enjoy it.Pros: Easy assembly, simple design, compact storage, comes with adapters.Cons: Difficult to dish by flipping the wheel in the stand, does not come with 20mm adapter.

Versatile, sturdy and light weight truing stand.
Fabulous truing stand for the money. It holds my 29 x 3" plus wheel/tire with room to spare. Also holds my 26 x 4.8" fat bike wheel/tire. Well built. This would can be used as a stand alone or it can be mounted to my Feedback bike stand. I've trued two wheels so far and it works quite well. Just take the time to make sure the wheel is mounted properly and securely. Great product.

Won't work with all wheels out of the box
The adapters that came with it wouldn't work with my DT Swiss 240 hubs. I had to hog out the 10mm slot in the stand to a bit over 12mm so I could use my 12mm thru axle and a nut to hold the wheel in place. The adapters that came with it still work with this mod. It should come stock this way.Otherwise I like the stand, it's sturdy enough, light, easy to store, easy to use. Good value.

Works with fat bike tire
My free hub stripped out on my fat bike and decided to rebuild the wheel with a better hub. It worked great as it should. The stand is still very stable with a fat bike wheel and tire rotating on it. It does have the option to attach to the feedback pro bike stand. It does work but I have a workbench in my living room that worked out perfect for me.Love the stand used it on 4 wheels so far and for the price everyone should get one if your serious about riding a bike.

Ottimo Tool
