At the price the plant should have been cultivated submersed to reduce risk for the buyer to transition the plant to being in an aquarium or for the seller to not sell it as an aquarium plant. 2 stars instead of 1 for the roots appearing to be strong as they seem to be growing out of the pot and healthy emersed growth allowing for potentially adequate growth to melt back and provide enough energy for it to convert to submerged growth. Other sellers sell plants already converted with multiple specimens in the pot unlike this seller.

First off these plants are on the expensive end to buy in any aquarium store. Invirto usually running 14+ and plants this size 20+, so when I saw this for under 10 I was like why not give it a shot, I've blow more on less.The plant came wrapped well and had added temperature protection, which if you are use to buying plants online is almost 99% a add on fee. The plant was intact with some dead/dying leaves. This is not uncommon even if you pick yours up instore. Always trim your plants.so it can focus on new growth. After trimming I say I have about give or take 6 decent leaves. Swords are notorious for melting, and I did not see any signs of this as of yet. Although melting is common, swords can also bounce back from almost nothing so give it time. I see other reviews indicated death of the plant, a completely melted sword looks like it is deadwoth no hope but if the root system is there, it will grow. Patience is the main key here people. Plants, no matter what time take time, patience and care. This is a moderate growth plants so you are not going to see results instantaneously. You will see new growth in weeks or months time. If it is not red/purple you need more iron. Clay around the roots or just pumping more iron than suggested can boost that color quickly. It is not a demanding plant as far as demanding plants go but it does require care, and supplements, co2 is required for this plant. This is a decent plant at a decent size for a decent price. But again you are not going to be getting something you can throw in your tank as-is and expect it to flourish. If you are looking for soemthing like that stick to hornwort. If you get this plant and it comes looking completely dead, plant it anyway. I've had swords come back from nothing all the time.

The plant is healthy, well-rooted, and packed perfectly. It arrived quickly and in great condition.

plants were shipped to NYC from CITY OF INDUSTRY CA DISTRIBUTION CENTER. shipped from march 6 and i received it today, march 12. i was a little worried once it passed 3 days but the plants came in great condition and my worries were for nothing. very impressed with the condition the plants were and also there was 0 hitchhikers so that's super awesome!
