GURO Cast Iron Pre-Seasoned Potjie (Poyke) Pot Dutch Oven Size 3 (8.4QT) Includes Lid Lifter

The box arrived quickly and in fair shape considering the weight of the pot. I was half way expecting a cheaply made rough chinese casting. Upon opening the box I was surprised at the quality of the casting along with the fit and finish. I've worked in a few foundries and recognize good work when I see it. I don't think this pot was made in china. The nice tags hanging from the lid had some kind of hajie writing on them. The Amazon listing says "includes lid lifter" SIKE!! No lifter. It was probably a mis translation refering to the bail/handle on the pot itself. The no.4 pot is about the size of a basketball with 3 legs under it. Why is it no online seller has any pictures with a size reference?? A product picture next to a coke can or tape measure would increase sales ten-fold ! Loved this pot!! Just as described and even better in person. Bought this for my boyfriend who loves to cook outside on a campfire. Will get years and years of happy use from this and its also the perfect size. Thank you

Rough finish inside. I smoothed it out but could never get it seasoned anymore. Rost pops up every time I cook. Ordered a similar one for 50$ from Europe and happy with that

I realy like that this pot is made in Israel. The Chinese castings arent as good. It comes seasoned realy well from the factory. comes with a realy nice lid lifter as well.

It is such a versatile cooking container. Defiantly my favorite. Worth every penny. 😁

The concept of properly cooking with a true dutch oven have been a mystery to me and I have always wanted to try the experience of cooking in a bonfire\coals and to see how it goes.Fortunately, I expressed this to a friend of mine who already has experience with dutch oven cooking and she have kindly directed me to Guro for an authentic cast iron dutch oven, I got the size 3 as recommended by her.Did not expect much in the first try, but it did brilliantly! it turned out exactly how I envisioned it and the texture was just something else! The experience itself, of a long cooking process next to a bonfire is enough for me to absolutely love this, my new favorite!
