An amazing overview of a superb artist. Wrote over 1,000 songs of great quality. Knew of him by "Merci Cherie" and then via Matt Monro covers of his songs (The music played, Walk away and other). My dominion of German language is not excellent but thanks to hearing these it gets better.What a magnificent singing voice till the end of his life; way too many songs give you chills by their sonic beauty and emotion of singing.For English a listen to "Walk away", "If I never sing another song" and "The music played" included in this wonderful collection, all 3 from English language album of 1981 "Leave a little love" (On CD also).The only setback is now am going to look for all his albums.

This CD reflects Udo Juergens's entire life and career.There are very old songs that I used to know when I was a child (17 Jahr, blondes Haar),there are new and more contemporary songs that are beautiful, fun and with wonderful insightful lyrics (that make me cry).If you understand German, and are over 40 :-) you might love this album.I listen to it over and over and don't get tired of it because of its diversity.5 Stars for Udo Juergens and this CD.

I bought this CD for friends of mine, an elderly couple who came to the U.S. a number of years ago. They like Udo Juergens. I got them the 'Forever' CD set before, but they were a bit disappointed because it did not contain their favorite song 'Merci Cheri'. This one does. It made them quite happy. They mentioned that some of the songs sound a little tinny. Well, I am not the judge of this issue. In their behalf, I give this CD set a 4 Star Rating.

Wonderfully whimsical. Love this album, and it's played often even with strange looks from friends.

I love this music and it keeps me in touch with my German heritage and refreshes my German language skills. Excellent music.
