This is without a doubt the most beautiful nativity scene I have ever seen. When looking at it, a sense of peace just comes over me. The pieces are well made and slightly heavy (for this senior lady). It is taking center stage in my Christmas decorating. I am sure that my family and I will love and enjoy it for many years to come.

I evidently did not read the description carefully. I expected a wood manger and was surprised to unpack this very carefully packed set and find a stone-like, extremely heavy manger with a rough finish. Packed in Styrofoam, bits of Styrofoam coat much of the finish, and I hope it will brush off easily. It could do serious damage to any surface on which it is set, so a sturdy protective base will be needed. That said, it should be durable and last forever. The four figures are exquisite; the photo does not do them justice. Everything about them is finely detailed. They, too, are made of a stone-like heavy substance with a smooth finish and are richly colored. Unlike most nativity sets in which the babe is cast in one piece with his bed, the babe is separate so that it could be held back and placed in the bed on Christmas Eve. This is NOT a nativity set that should be accessible for children to play with. Such play could result in serious injuries. My only disappointment is that sheep and other animals are not listed as optional additions in scale with the four figures. This nativity set should last for generations of a family.

It was hard to fine but I finally found a beautiful nativity. It was just what I was looking for. Great craftsmanship.

I loveee this beautiful nativity scene. I recommend it for anyone, even people that aren't Black. All representations of Jesus, Mary and Joseph don't have to be European-looking. In any case, this Nativity scene put me in a great Christmas spirit (the real meaning of Christmas), and was very meaningful in multiple ways.

The media could not be loaded.  Very sturdy, beautiful craftsmanship, would make a lovely gift . I decorated with lights. Got the exact effect I was looking for.

The pieces are each so hefty and lovely. They look like actual Africans, rather than White folks painted brown. The emotion/expression on each subject's face works in harmony with the whole scene. I'll be proud to keep this in trust for my daughters. I couldn't be more pleased.

Love the nativity scene. The stable is very heavy and the statues nicely made. I love that baby Jesus can be left out of the manger until Christmas Eve. Wouldlove to add the 3 Wise men to the scene!
