Size:.2 UNITS Re-usable P100 Elipse Half Mask Respirator has a patented design that is very different from anything on the market, but users like the respirators because of its low profile design, breathability and comfort. Designed to fit the contours of the face and comes in two sizes (S/M and M/L). Mask is NIOSH 42 CFR 84 P100 approved and meets other worldwide standards. Low profile design will allow users to have a wide field of view, will not interfere with other PPE such as safety glasses, sanding shields, welding hoods and prevents filters from getting bumped or snagged while doing overhead work. Protects against dust and fumes containing such substances such as: micro-organisms, marble, gypsum, titanium oxide, soapstone, rock wool. wood, detergents, textile fibers, spices, salts, feed, coal, silica, asbestos, mold, bauxite, zinc, iron ore, iron, graphite, kaolin, zinc, manganese, lead, chromium and more. Elipse respirator is a re-usable half mask and intuitive design allows the filters to easily be interchanged. Mask comes ready to use with two P100 filters.

Relief from Wildfires, Very Comfy!
I live in Oregon and we have had a terrible fire season this year as have the surrounding states. For the last few days our Air Quality Index has been 300+ with spikes up to 479. I have asthma and for me this is a very dangerous situation. This Elipse mask is such a relief. The paper ones don't work at all and the disposable N95 ones help some. I had been using a full size 3M organic vapor respirator which works very well but compared to this is large, cumbersome and can be uncomfortable for long periods of wear because of how tight the straps have to be. Today I got my Elipse mask and was thrilled to find large soft straps that you can easily pull down to your neck when temporarily removing it as opposed to taking off my glasses and pulling the plastic headpiece of the respirator forwards. The area of your face covered in just enough without putting pressure on my big nose or prominent chin. Because it is a only particulate respirator you can still smell some things in your environment like the moisture of a recent storm or a spilled fuel which is a good thing in my book. Worth every penny!

Have a beard? Give this one a go
Having tried some of 3M's offerings, I found myself rarely wearing it.I do a lot of woodworking and am more concerned than many when it comes to controlling what I'm inhaling. The medical literature is a bit murky, but there's enough validity that I would rather be safe than stuffy or worse. What the Elipse mask corrects is that it uses thick elastic bands that pulls it toward your face and a more pliable plastic for the mouthpiece. The other masks on the market largely sit on top of your head and use rigid plastic. That design greatly limits face shapes that it can conform to and still create an air tight seal around your face. Otherwise, dust leaks in and/or you have it so tight that it starts digging into your face, or most annoyingly you start fogging up your safety glasses. The Elipse is comfortable. And I can detect no signs of dust leaking in.I started by saying that if you have a beard, this is probably the mask for you. That's true, but, I could just have easily asked: "Have a face?" This mask is for you.

Best vapor mask < $50!
I am professional furniture finisher, and I don't have room for a hood in my shop, so I need P100 masks. I've been hobbling along with the $25 3M masks found at big box home stores for years, but they are poorly made and basically disposable. The elastic bands either break or start to come unravelled very quickly, and the band retainer clip plastic tabs are also prone to breaking easily, making the mask useless since you can't tighten the bands anymore. Tried a few highly recommended masks on Amazon and wasn't impressed until I tried this one. It's not perfect and it's not indestructible, but for the price it's a best buy. The elastic is clearly higher quality than competitively prices masks, the plastic tabs are thicker and malleable (as opposed to thin and brittle, recipe for breakage), and overall it just has a classier feel. Also comes in better packaging - which I know is irrelevant, but blister packs scream "cheap junk inside". Only complaint is that the "medium/large one size fits all" isn't quite as comfortable as it could be. I am 5' 11" and medium build, so I don't think my face size is outside of what should be the sweet spot, but the mask feels just a tad too small. Not enough to be uncomfortable, just wish it were 10% bigger. For the price I'll take it enthusiastically though. Great buy!

The best respirator I've used.
I have used lots of respirators, and this little guy is the BEST! My allergies started getting pretty serious, as I worked, aloft, in the trees. Rather than go to an allergist and get drops or shots, I decided to try this unit. Problem solved! No more coughing and sneezing, no skin irritations on the bridge of my nose from inferior product use. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Home Inspector Review
I'm a professional home inspector in New Orleans, LA. Pretty much all of the houses I inspect have accessible attics and crawlspaces filled with dirt, dust, mold, insulation, asbestos.... I have pretty bad allergies to boot. I tried a number of different types of respirators (3M Full and Half Masks) and none of them were as comfortable and did the job like the Elipse. I actually convinced the other inspectors that work with me to switch over to the Elipse. I have had the product for over a year. I change the filters out ever 2-3 months but that really depends on how much you use it. One thing I do recommend doing is cleaning the mask regularly. I take the filters out and wash the mask by hand with warm water and dawn almost every evening after inspections and let it dry over night. Attics and crawlspaces are hot especially in the summer so sweating in the mask is a given. I did add safety pins to top straps where they go through the plastic loops. I found with constant use the strap would not stay in the loops easily. With a just two small safety pins the problem was solved. All in all great mask for what I use it for.
