Great Substitute for Crumbled Tissue
When I first started using charcoal, I used tissues to blend, and these stumps are a real game changer. The stumps are made from compressed paper while the torillions are made from rolled paper. The stumps so far are my favorite as this set comes with such a nice array in sizes. Plus they are double sided so I don't have to clean as frequently when using the same size stump a lot. Also the stumps are so easy to clean and even re pointing with the sandpaper board. The tortillions are best for super precise blending, but be sure to not use a lot of pressure as it will cause the tip to collapse and even with a needle/paper clip, I couldn't get the same point back. Also the only real way to clean these is to rub on white paper and even than it only does so much. Overall nice set at a great price that completely replaces the need to use my old blending methods.

I love my purchase
I am new to coloring and took it on as a stress reliever. I was looking for ways to blend colors. I watched a youtube video about color pencil blending. I ran across a video about using blending stumps and Gamsol. I ordered them, used them and fell in love with the stumps as well as the Gamsol. The black blender is equally as amazing as the stumps. I have recommended them to other friends and family that have also taken up coloring. Once I use these up, I will be back for more!

Pastel sharpening Paradise
Great, solid stumps in tons of sizes. Excellent soft blenders. The real selling point is the sandpaper block. It has peel off sheets like a lint roller. Great for sharpening conte a Paris and other thick pastel and charcoal pencils. No more breaking them with sharpeners or exacto knives. And way easier to carry around than sheets or 80-120 grit sandpaper
