After fixing the non working display connection I have decided to revitalize my old ASUS laptop. Did an SSD upgrade ($50), put a new after market battery ($30) but the noise level of the CPU fan was a complete deal breaker.I needed a replacement for my ASUS N550JK's SUNON fans. This fits the bill just fine. I have received SUNON labeled fans and it is an exact replacement and very easy to replace. My laptop is now super quiet and no more of that vacuum cleaner level noise it was generating. RPM appears to be around 2200-2300. After spending the additional $20 on 2 fans, I now have a very smooth performing desktop replacement laptop.

Fits perfectly and works like a charm. My laptop is super quiet now.

I've replaced both fans on my ASUS N550-J laptop, and it's amazing how much quieter it runs. The old fans had become so loud that I was on the verge of pulling the trigger on a new laptop. It was easy to do, and I'm thankful that I'm once again saved from shopping for a new laptop. Over the years, I've upgraded the wifi card, swapped the HDD for an SSD, and bumped up the RAM to 16GB. Hard to say how much longer I'm going to use this machine, but for right now it's still chugging along nicely.

My Asus N550JV's fans were quite loud and my laptop felt really hot. I ordered two of these fans and to my surprise, they are the exact same fans that came OEM from factory on my laptop model. I could have just cleaned my old fans but since I had ordered these, I went ahead and repaced them. I had to order head resistant tape which was a breeze but after I removed the old ones, cleaned the grills out and installed these, I cannot even hear the fans working! They are so quiet that I had to reopen the laptop and see that they were spinning. Needless to say that my laptop is super cool now. 5 starts. OEM replacement, super quiet. Happy buyer.Above was my original write-up after I bought and installed it in 2021. Fast forward to mid-2024, fan is making very loud noises, going bad. Try another product. Junk.

The fan was a perfect fit/replacement for my laptop (Asus N550JX). I was having some overheating issues and unfortunately when I went to clean the existing fan and cooling fins, one of the fans broke. I immediately ordered this as a replacement along with some thermal compound since I was going to have to remove the entire cooling assembly to replace the fan. After removing the cooling assembly, removing the broken fan, cleaning the cooling system the rest of the way, replacing the fan, adding the thermal compound and putting everything back in place, the laptop stayed nice and cool.Before cleaning, etc the temps would hover around 80-90c which is not good.After cleaning and replacement, the temps usually sit around 50-55c and RARELY hits 90 even when being worked hard.

So far so good. Easy installation on this machine for the most part. Google teardown for layout etc of cooling system. Back to super quiet and cool. My n550jk is amazing as far as I'm concerned. 20 bucks for 2 fans and longevity for my laptop.

Ordered on January 8, 2020 to replace the stock Asus fan that lasted forever. New fan made it until end of October... so it only lasted 11 months until it stated getting noisy :(

It looks fine and works good and quite. I am satisfied after 2 weeks of use on my laptop.
