Not plastic crap
We had one of them before for over ten years then it broke couldn’t find one, we had gone through four plastic garlic presses .

In two words: super practical
My old Westmark press gave up the ghost after 16 years in service, what actually went wrong was the coating that came off. So I ordered a replacement and it looks like the coating has improved. It is such a practical gadget and amongst all the world's garlic presses I can find no better. My only thought is, why Westmark do not make this in stainless steel?

Best ever garlic or ginger press.
Excellent for pressing garlic and ginger. Use it without the small insert, it doesn't require much pressure.

Worst Quality Possible
I bought this since my mum has a similar one and she has used it for years. Moreover, it is technically made in Germany, so I assumed better quality. It is incredibly bad! It broke while pitting few olives, not raw olives, but cured ones... so soft and easy... it broke like a little piece of plastic.The description says aluminum, but obviously is not. It is rather a kind of aluminum alloy, delicate and brittle.At least the policy of Amazon includes easy return... and that is what I have done.Be aware, do not buy this.
