Perfect replacement for obsolete Midisport 2x2
My very old "Midiman Midisport 2x2" turned into a paperweight when M-Audio stopped updating drivers. I wanted something similar (metal case, 2x2, simple to use), and happened across this item. It's class compliant, so it came online without proprietary drivers. It's sturdy, as simple in design as what it's replacing, and should be supported for the foreseeable future. If it lasts half as long as the Midisport it's a good deal.

Essential if you own 2+ instruments
Now I can control all the wet fart machines with just one keyboard.

Early review about functionality
I am using this with an iPod Air 3 with a Camera kit usb and it works perfectly. I have a iRig Keys 2 Pro 37 which on its own works fine but if you plug it in to usb you can only use the built in iRig external audio engine. That isn't what I had planned for. Other iRig users have complained about this to ikmediaSo, this solved that problem, I may plug my 61 key into it and use the usb port for something else, greTmat 😊

Easy to use
The MIDI interface is exactly what I needed. It seems to be very high quality and works very well. I am very happy with this purchase.

Worked until update to MaxOS Sonoma
Despite the annoying clicking relay sounds, it worked great until MacOS Sonoma. Then ports 3 and 4 stopped working! Tech support knows of the issue, but currently has no solution. At this point, I am switching to USB MIDI to my Line6 Helix and then daisy chain other devices by 5 pin MIDI. Too late for a return 🙁

It is not a midi sound engine like it was suppose to be.
It was useless to me and my Lektar LX25 midi keyboard controller.

Didn't work
It powered on, but it didn't pass MIDI signal.
