VTech Upgraded Audio Baby Monitor with Rechargeable Battery, Long Range, and Crystal-Clear Sound

I actually returned this, but I'm still giving it a 5 star review. We purchased this to allow my mom to communicate at night if she needed something. Unfortunately she sleeps with the TV on, so this didn't work out for us, because there was constant noise on it. But -- it works very well in other situations. Sound quality is very clear.

One monitor is by my mother’s bed and I fasten the other monitor to my cpap harness by my ear. I can even hear my mother breathing.

Bought to use after surgery to summons nurse at night. Also used it when great grandson came to visit. Worked very well in both cases.

Its a cost effective monitor. Good range with many walls blocking line of sight to the baby room monitor. Sturdy enough to survive being dropped by toddler.Issue: 1) battery in parent unit weak. Always plug it in.2) "VTECH CARES ABOUT THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN!!!!!!" Announcement EVERY time i turn the parent speaker on and it connects to the microphone unit. No volume control or way to stop it from doing that. I have to mash my hand against the speaker to muffle the scream. I have a newborn that sleeps in my room and this thing will wake her if I forget to cover it when its turned on. (If anyone has a solution for shutting it off please post it).

Using for a disabled parent, has excellent range and sound quality. Pleased with the fact that it's rechargeable and that you're able to clip the parent end to a belt loop. 5/5 If you're looking for a one-way walkie-talkie.

Connectivity is good, however the speaker is pretty quiet and there is no mic to speak from the receiver into the transmitter, which they used to have on older models. Not sure why that was cut, aside from to save the company 50 cents per unit. Cant really complain though, its the cheapest reliable option and it does do the job. Just make sure you dont have your TV too loud, or are using headphones or anything else that will also create noise and potentially drown it out. just be responsible and itll be great

I got this to use when I was caring for my elderly mother. Her bedroom was on a different level than the one I was sleeping in and I needed to hear if she got up in the night on her own. This monitor worked just great. It's got great sensitivity too, and picked up any sound in her room- even when her dog was on the floor scratching his ears. It was super easy to set up and to operate. The remote I had on my end I could take anywhere in the house with me and hear my mom from wherever I was. Exactly what we wanted and needed. If you just want a "sound" monitor and not visual as well, this one works great.
