Impressive sub-$50 drone!
This is one of the best sub-$50 drones I've ever flown, and I've tried well over 20 of them. This is hands down the best one, even the video quality is better than all the others. Don't expect perfect pictures and video, and you have to manually adjust the camera up/down angle on your own, but for what it costs, it's pretty good. It's incredibly fun to fly and is rather stable, especially compared to other drones in this price range. The way you adjust trim and how long it takes to reflect your changes is a bit long, but the stability is still much better than all the other drones I've flown. Battery life is pretty decent but could have been a tad bit better but I appreciate that it includes two batteries. That said, it's battery life is still better than the other cheap drones.

Great for Beginners and Pros Alike
The DeeRC D20 packs a big punch in a small package. At under $50, it's a great way to get started in the wonder world of drones. You can learn the basics, as well as more advanced features usually only found on the bigger, more expensive models. The customer support is second to none! They are very responsive and can almost always resolve any issues you might have.

Overall a nice, FAST little drone!
Ok, testing this little (fits in the palm of my hand) drone is fun. Though I just got it today and I'll update my review when I've had more time to test it, I want to give a first impression based on what I've seen with it so far. Love the fact that it comes with its own carrying case and extra parts.First off, this little drone is FAST and responsive for its size. Despite its size, it does fight a breeze (just a few mph wind speed) quite well. Turn up the speed to level 3 and it seems faster than my Holy Stone HS110D on its own level 5 speed (racing). With respect to its speed, I'm impressed!Secondly, with 2 batteries and 2 charge cables you can get back out and enjoy flying quicker. Honestly, the batteries last about 5-7 minutes depending on how many 360° flips and the speed you use. More flips and faster speed lower the amount of flying time per battery. The batteries do charge fairly quickly using the quick charge adapter from my galaxy s10.Now that I've hit on a couple of positive notes, on to some negatives. The primary negative, and it's a major issue, is the fact that the app used to view the pictures/videos is the worst drone app I've ever used. The app crashes constantly and requires an exact order to get it to work (at least for me it did). Even after I got the app to work and was controlling the drone with my phone, the connection was lost while less than 50ft away (the drone was only about 30 ft high) and it flew itself straight into some tree branches and crashed onto concrete, popping 2 of the blade guards off. After putting it back together, I flew it a little longer then changed the battery. This go around I ditched the app and flew it with the controller. Again the drone was only about 30ft high and lost power/connection (the battery wasn't dead as the lights were still on constant) and fell straight down, bounced off the hood of my truck and landed on concrete. Now a positive note about the crashes, the drone held up extremely well with only minor body scratches. All functions I've used so far, 360° flips, trimming, pictures/videos, headless mode, and one touch take off/land have functioned perfectly. All in all, besides the connection glitches with the app and controller, this little drone is impressive and certainly deserves its place among mini drones. I wouldn't be a bit afraid to hand this drone to ANYONE, not just kids, as a gift. It's got the full size drone features adults desire in a kid's sized package and all at a price that's just right!I'll update this review after I've had more time with this drone.Update#1: After flying this drone a few times more, I've found that it can sometimes lose calibration while using headless mode and you'll have to figure out how to get the drone to fly back to you. I set it correctly (with the drone facing directly away from me as per the instructions), and while flying, the drone suddenly started going in different directions than it did when I first turned on headless mode. I got it back to me and recalibrated and decided I'd continue flying without headless mode activated.Speed demon! I must say this again, it's quite a fast and responsive drone for its size especially on the 3rd speed level.Lost connection while flying with the controller and flew into a tree popping a blade guard off.... no real damage besides more body scratches. This thing is nearly indestructible and would be perfect for kids/adults learning to fly (just keep it slow and steady and all will be fine).I still can't get the app on my android phone to stay connected long enough to get a video to post so until the developers correct the issues, no point trying that anymore and unfortunately with no microSD card slot pics and videos aren't going to happen. This also means I can't try the voice control or gestures for camera control. My overall take on this drone: If you're simply looking for a small drone just to fly and possibly fly faster than your buddies larger drones, this would be a great choice. This is a great little learner drone with some connection issues (definitely wouldn't trust flying it over water or anywhere else it could lose connection and be destroyed) and a price that can't be beat for the features you get provided you can get the app to remain connected to the drone.

works just as advertised
It works just as advertised. However, it should not be used when windy! If you live in a windy area, it will probably not work for you.

How do you make camera move?
I still can't control this drone steadly after 10 years of having it. However, i want to know where on the control how to move the camera up and down. No where in the manual or on videos. It a fixed camera, I can move it up and down with my finger, but am I missing something here on in flight making camera go up and down? No video instructions or in the Book Instructions on camera movement.

Perfect starter drone!!
The media could not be loaded. I chose to purchase this DeerC drone because it had great reviews and seemed like a good way to learn and understand the basics of controlling a drone while being budget friendly and durable enough to withstand the initial mistakes I was pretty sure I would make. It’s pretty small and not intended to be flown in heavy wind conditions but it can be flown outside when the weather is nice. More importantly, it can be flown indoors, which would allow me to practice without losing it on my first flight! It has many of the features a full size drone has, just in a much smaller scale. The camera mounted on it can be manually adjusted to view whats in front of the drone while in flight or can be aimed down to view what’s directly below it. It comes with a handheld remote control that can be used by itself and also has a clamp to hold your smartphone which can be synced with the drone’s flight controls and it’s camera so you can have a live feed sent you smartphone via a wifi signal between the drone and your phone. The app is available for free for both IOS and Android. This way you can choose to control the drone with your phone or with the remote. You can also just control the drone with the remote and have the phone clamped to it and synced to the camera and take photos and videos during the flight which can be saved directly to your phone’s camera roll.So far the weather hasn’t been ideal for a newbie like myself to feel comfortable taking it outside to fly so I have been putting some practice inside the house just to get the hang of the different methods of control and learning to maneuver the drone in tight spaces which can be useful as well.So far I’ve learned the basics when it comes to syncing your phone to it and recording flights with the built in camera. I’ve gotten the hang of lifting off, adjusting the trim, controlling altitude, as well as maneuvering forward, backwards, left, and right, and safely landing the drone. I even had some fun with the different types of 360° flips this little drone can pull off! It really is a lot of fun. And based on the mistakes I made in the process of learning, I have to give it credit for its durability! It comes with an extra set of propellers but due to the propeller guards I haven’t broken any yet!The video I posted along with this review is one of my earlier flights, adjusting the trim, testing the controls out and doing a couple flips before landing. For anybody interested in a small but durable drone, I strongly recommend this product. As long as you follow the instructions and take it slow you can easily learn to fly this drone, capture videos and photos, do fun tricks, and land safely. When you have nice days that aren’t windy you will already know how to control it and have the confidence to take it out on an outdoor flight. I’m sure you can capture some interesting photos and videos or even use it for things like examining the rooftop of your house or other hard to reach areas. Friends can film each other skating and capture really cool videos. For what it is I give it 5 stars and think it’s the perfect starter drone for those who are interested in the hobby and what to gain some experience without it costing an arm and a leg!
