Works well with newer thumb drives.
I needed a USB short cable to plug into my Janome 550E embroidery machine to save wear and tear on the onboard USB poet. This did the trick without having a cumbersome unneeded length of cable in the way.

Top quality cable
Well constucted and durable cable. Straight USB-A Female on one end, right-angle USB-A Male on the other - exactly what I needed. The right-angle connector is very low profile and easily fits between closely spaced connectors above and below it on my PC. And the cable exits in the expected direction for optimum routing (more on that below).Getting the correct "angled" cable is something of an IQ test. Standard USB connectors are polarized - plastic tabs inside plug & socket determine which way they mate. This leads to so-called "right-angle" and "left-angle" cables, but which way the cable exits also depends on the location and orientation of the target USB port (front, side, back, right-side-up, upside-down). So you have to look inside each of the 2 connectors (your actual USB port and the Amazon photo of the connector that will plug into it) and see if they will mate when the cable is positioned to exit the way you want.In my case, the right-angle end of the cable plugs into the BACK of my PC and exits LEFT (as viewed from front of PC). My visualization skills were put to the test, but happily the Amazon photos provided the info I needed to make the right decision.

Be conscious of the USB direction - I returned these
First the good. This is a well constructed product that works really well. If you don't care about the things I cared about, then they are for you. Also, keep in mind just how short 1 foot is. They aren't long at all.The issue I had is that they faced the wrong direction. The cord has a nice 90 degree angle which is why I got them. What I didn't think about at the time was that USB ports (except USBC) only go in one way. You can't flip them. I needed the elbow to send the cord to the left but it only went to the right. That's not the fault of the cord, I know, but it is something to keep in mind that I did not until I plugged it in. For my intended use, this made them not work for me. They may work for you, just be aware of how your USB port is facing on your computer.

Works like I expected!!
Very good so far! I purchased this item to use with my USB sticks to transfer embroidery designs from computer to embroidery machine. Works great and going to purchase another one for my computer. This helps to preserve the usb ports especially on an expensive Happy 7 Needle Journey machine. Would work well for one needle embroidery machines I believe.Only had it a few days so I can't tell you how long it will last or how much it holds.Kudos!

Love It.
Just what I needed for my LapDesk (Laptop that sits on my desk). My way outdated 3 year old laptop has, as almost all laptops do, limited I/O ports. Mine has one USB 3, and two USB 2 ports, which are all inconveniently located on either side. I have three external HD's using my USB 3 port, and at the moment, five devices trying to use the two USB 2 ports, which are located on the right side. So, it's like making toast trying to juggle everything. Solution: Buy a 7 port USB hub and a Right Angle extension cable, from CableCreation, of course. The only problem is the "Right Angle" cable routes right in front of the optic drive, which is NOT the fault of CableCreation's. It's inherent on many laptop's. Fortunately, I don't use that drive, so, no problem. In short, I have purchased other cables from CableCreation, and they have great products, and I will continue to use them for my cable needs.CableCreation Short (1ft) USB3.0 Extension Cable, Right Angle USB 3.0 Male to Female Extension Cable USB 3.0 Extender Cord, 90 Degree USB A-Male to A-Female Space Grey AluminumThe link to the 7-port USB Hub that I bought this cable for:Insten 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub High Speed with Power Adapter (5V/2A), USB Hub with Individual Power Switches and LED Power Indicator support Windows MacOS for PC, Laptop, USB Flash Drive, Samsung Galaxy

Great extension cable for USB
I wanted to make it easier on some of my older 3d printers to expose the USB port in the front. Bought a couple of these and they fit the bill perfectly so i no longer have to reach behind them blindly.
