Top quality
I was fed up with metal biscuit tins that go out of shape. This one is expensive but it looks good (great colour), has an effective seal and is plenty big enough for 2 or 3 packets of biscuits. Great quality too

Not too heavy

Good / not great! - read below 👇🏻
So, I love Le Creucet stone ware. I’ve got various bits and pieces. They are very heavy and durable. Mugs. Salad bowls etc. This is a nice item don’t get me wrong. BUT 🫷🏻it’s way lighter than the normal Le Creucet stone ware I have elsewhere. It still seems solid. But it’s almost definitely NOT as durable as the other stuff.Now I have mixed feelings about this. 🤔 Because this is quite a large biscuit jar. It looks great too. But when I pick it up it’s lighter than it should be if it was "the real thing" But, is this intentional? 🤷🏻♂️ I’m a large man things are easy to pick up. But if this were the density & weight of the other stone ware. It would be pretty heavy indeed. I can see many woman or older people having a real struggle moving this item around.Am I giving too much benefit of the doubt?Maybe. Maybe they are making it from different stuff to save money. Charg the same = profit! 🤌🏻 I don’t know to be honest. Maybe I’m being a bit unfair. But reading a few reviews before I wrote my own. I noticed that a few items have come shattered into pieces. If this were made of the heavy stoneware I would not believe this could happen. In fact I’d give odds some of my other Le Creucet stoneware would flat bounce off the floor & be fine! And this is probably the reason people still buy -& pay over the odds - for Le Creucet items.So I had to give this balanced review. The lid is nice & tight. It’s a nice item. Lovely glaze. Nice colour. But it’s lighter & ( probably ) not as durable.I’d give this a 4/5 stars 🌟 ( almost a 3 & if I could 3.5 probably )You have the facts you decide.

BIG AND BEAUTIFUL
This is a really big biscuit barrel. Plenty of room for all the family favourites. Good quality. The colour is perfect.
