Q: I see the unit has a 5 year warranty, is the a parts only for that time period or does it include labor and parts (bumper to bumper)?

Our warranty is for Parts only.

Q: do I need to buy additional items to install this with my hvac system? Or is everything included?

In order to connect this item to an hvac system, there would be a need for duct work. If the unit is being wired to an hvac system, extra wiring would be required. Drain tubing does not come with this unit.

Q: Should this unit be installed with a drain pan? Is there one that fits this device? My installation will use a gravity drain, not a pump.

Hello, If this unit is going to be installed in an area above a living space, or where there is a possibility of the drain it is flowing into overflowing, then we recommend using a drain pan. The drain pan would need to be at least 14" x 26". Those are the length and width dimensions for our unit. -Aprilaire Tech Support Team
